Personally I'm not into abusive, controlling relationships where my significant other withholds sex as a punishment, isolates me from friends and family-- and REMOVES THE ENGINE BLOCK from my car because I want to go see a friend he doesn't "approve" of.

There's also the blatant violation of privacy- watching her sleep for months, inside of her bedroom without her permission- in addition to other instances of stalking.

Yes, that Edward Cullen. He's a real catch. If you want to be caught on a list of a serial killer's victims. Also the pedophilia: ew. Somehow I don't think this series would fly had Edward actually looked like a 100+ year old man. But you know: fantasy! That makes abuse romantic!

Don't be an ass. Unless you were just obtuse enough to miss the point.

It's a horrible, sick feeling to realize you might have gotten something- a job, for example- not because you worked hard to earn it, but because somebody wants to fuck you. It reduces you from feeling excited about something to feeling awful because someone regards you as more of a sex object than a person with capabilities.

This really isn't something you can discuss without sounding like an asshole. I applaud you for the attempt.

Aside from anything else, if you're a young, attractive woman you are always going to wonder if you earned something based on your merits or based on the way you look. Yes, there are much bigger problems in the world. But that will still make you feel like shit.

If you have a box full of wallets I'll take one off of your hands. I've been using a clutch as my wallet since my purse got stolen in may and the zipper on my cat wallet broke (the cat wallet is much less tacky than you are probably imagining).

Gaia needs a rabies booster or something but Broke Mommy is waiting to take her until she has steady employment again. I am justifying this by reason of the fact that she never goes outside or spends any time with cats that aren't on the other side of a 4" thick sliding glass door. If I have friends coming over who are rabid. . .well, let's just hope that never happens.
