The site you tout states this in part about black hate groups showing where their allegiance is: "the Southern Poverty Law Center recognizes that much black racism in America is, at least in part, a response to centuries of white racism". It lists three black hate groups like that is all there is out there. Nope, not prejudiced or biased at all.....yeah right!

Here is a statement from one of those "hate groups" it lists and some have their drawers in a wad about.

The League of the South has never before issued a statement denying that it is "racist" because racism is a wax nose charge. Those who resort to this charge can never be satisfied. The more we deny it, the more we will be forced to deny it, until at last all that we will have time to do is to repel the latest charge of "racism." However, we make this one statement, to satisfy strangers of good will, that we bear no ill will or hatred to any racial, ethnic, or religious group.

We believe that Christianity and social order require that all people, regardless of race, must be equal before the law. We do not believe that the law should be used to persecute, oppress, or favor any race or class.

We believe that the only harmony possible between the races, as between all natural differences among human beings, begins in submitting to Jesus Christ's commandment to "love our neighbors as ourselves." That is the world we envision and work for.

We believe that the politics of race -- baiting whites against blacks and blacks against white has been profitable for politicians but catastrophic for the South and Southerners.

We believe that all Southerners - black and white - want and need the same things: a safe country for their families, liberty, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe that the last thing the South's enemies want is to see black and white Southerners sitting down together to determine their common destiny and work for authentic harmony, a just social and economic order, and an independent South. We can't foretell precisely what that order will look like, but certainly it will not make room for diversity police and political correctness. Rather, we hope it will bring the greatest freedom for the greatest number of all races, and good will among them all.

Since the states legally succeeded before, I guess the federal government changed it now to be illegal?

Unless they had reserves to back up printed money, why would they print it? Oh I know what you mean, you mean like Obama is doing now, spending what we don't have?

Why worry about subsidies that we have paid in. We would simply TAKE it back. Yeah, the poverty rate probably would double as all the liberals that are living off of the backs of working people now wouldn't get the free ride anymore.

Why not support a local business instead that sells farm fresh milk from healthy cows and is not homogenized or containing growth hormones etc? You get what you pay for.

If I am wrong and misleading, please show any evidence that what I said was not correct. Leftest like you would love to quiet the conservatives that are pointing out where they are going against the constitution, but since it is the truth they can't come up with a legitimate answer.

So you are saying it was caused by drivers who were following the state and federal regulations and because theses regulation are lax in Alabama, that is what caused the accidents. What a joke!

State or federal laws matter not whether a load is bucked down correctly or whether a driver has enough experience to even be behind the wheel of a loaded truck, especially one with something as hard to get a handle on as a coil of steel or whether an unnatural occurrence causes the load to shift such as an unsafe car driver or a chain breaking. Just because a regulation is in effect or you pass more stringent regulations, it will not make a driver use them, especially a rookie or prevent these unnatural causes of carnage. With the federal DOT regulations, everyone has to be up to par per say, in all 50 states. It has absolutely nothing to do with Alabama DOT standards. The problem is a majority of these rookie driving school drivers that are not qualified to be driving a truck. Some are and are great drivers as some drivers that have years of experience should not be in a truck. Nothing was proven in your statements.

How can I be "shooting myself in the foot" when I say the law is not needed? That is more "government intervention" which I am against. How do gather out of that that it is being hypocritical? You are the one that always says palamts. What a laugh!

Good milk is over five dollars. Walmart sells reconstituted milk from over seas.

Doctors charge too much, the insurance company only pays a portion, patient gets messed over by both. If the doctors got what they billed for, the patient certainly could not afford it. No universal coverage I have heard about works yet. Lot of Canadians coming here for care.

While I'm no fan of either, the dems have had control for the last three years and the economy has continued to slide downhill and has taken a nosedive since the new pres has been in place. Nope, can't put the blame on Bush or his policies. They have revised or reversed everything that was left from Bush and it's getting worse, not better. And besides, this is a republic but if the bunch that are in charge now has their way it may very well be down the tube and we will slide from the Fascist policies they are implanting now on down to Socialism. I heard today where your president and gang were trying to put in place where they could at any time take control of any corporation and not have to declare Marshal Law. A lot of folks are regretting giving this mob control of out country.

None needed other than what the article said : "The new law will require companies to use drivers who are trained and certified in handling the coils." and years of experience in such matters. Most folks can pick up on the reason from the article. As I said to start with, poor driver practices are to blame. All the state or federal regulations in the world will not make an inexperienced driver actually do their job better as that relies on the individual to follow mandated safety practices but more importantly using uncommonsense in the matter..

I think "safetydriver" covered it well below. Also there are many experienced people that have years of experience in such matters that do not have a CDL that will put to shame the road jockeys with a just passed CDL and absolute minimum of skill and experience. They and other people in trucks that should not be driving trucks are the root cause for loads shifting and falling off trucks and has nothing to do with any state laws. Like the coils, some loads are just more apt to shift and require special techniques and more frequent checks. And btw, I have had a Class A license for many years and while not an authority, I'm certainly not a novice as I have extensive experience in the field before the laughable CDL was required.

How can it be an Alabama political thing if drivers are the ones not securing their loads correctly or driving in an unsafe manner that causes these coils to break free? That is the untrained driver's fault and the governmental goof up CDL mentality of putting untrained people behind the wheel of loaded trucks just because they can pass a simple written test and a menial road test.

Like most working people, I have said for years that there needs to be no special interest money or favors allowed to be accepted by anyone in government. Lobbyist have no place in our government. All trips,contacts and contracts period need to be made public, no closed door sessions, and all contracts openly bid fairly. Everything needs to be on the table for public scrutiny, period! No lifetime appointed jobs or should anyone have any control over their own destiny in public coffers. Any discrepancy should bring immediate termination and criminal charges. The way all governments are now is that the foxes have put themselves in charge of the hen house and barred the door.

When are decent folks going to get enough of this garbage and run every politician out of Washington and a start over? Both "parties" are controlled by big business/crooks period! The supposedly "best educated" minds that are out there have run the country for many decades. Can't anyone see the results of what they have caused? They are kept in their place of power simply because of the way they have set things up to keep normal and decent working folks from interfering with their control. Congress voted it in without reading it and then lied about doing it as their covered up lies are coming out regularly. They could have tossed it out with all the other items Bush had enacted, but no, they passed this mess without reading it. I believe they all knew what was in it beforehand and it's all for show. The tax vote is just a show so when it gets derailed, they can all say "well don't blame us, we tried to do something about it". Pure BS!

I wonder where the backers are spending the money made on the casinos there? I might be wrong but to try and see what the big bucks are paying for there comes up short. I agree as it is not a "parkway" at all. Call it what it really is, a "bypass" that is on the "eastern" side of what it is bypassing, therefore "Eastern Bypass". Very simple to remember, very simple for emergency responders etc. When and if the Bynum Leatherwood Road is changed to a four lane and connected all the way to I-20, it should be called the Western Bypass. No need to complicate the matter and waste money.
