I have worked numerous places in the company as both an hourly and management. Never have I seen anyone forcing or allowing work off the clock. As you have nothing to do with Walmart, I don't see how your beliefs on the matter make any difference. The FACT is that Walmart was not determined to be guilty of any wrongdoing.

Nothing says Walmart was guilty of any wrongdoing. There was no decision rendered on that matter. Both you and the union group speak incorrectly in asserting the company's guilt.

That's easy to explain, too. It has to do with a flaw in Walmart's pay system that tends to pay newly hired associates more. When the pay schedule adjusts, it almost always increases the wages of those with less seniority and those who have been there a while make too much to see a benefit. I'm not saying that's right, but it is true.

Considering how pay is calculated, though, it is impossible for any two hourly associates with identical credentials, jobs, tenure, and performance reviews to end up with different pay. Everything is a formula.

That analysis is highly flawed because it presumes that the life situations of all of those women are identical to those of the men. The truth is that women working at the store level are disproportionately unwilling or unable to work management schedules, often due to family obligations.

You miss the point that this is not just a Wal-Mart issue, or even a theft issue. To some people, like myself, it makes no sense that the law should afford protection to those in violation of it. They have decided that the rules don't apply to them, so that means they shouldn't.
