Lol. branding matters, it's just that now individuals have more ways in which to brand themselves independent of their affiliations.

Re: Hurricane Hype

Concur Max. Having salvaged the family from Andrew in 1992 I remember it well. Good thing this storm declined before hitting.

Re: Remembering Ray Tye and Dustin Drapkin

I unfortunately missed Ray's service today do to travel problems... by all accounts it was well attended and moving.
Here is a story on it in the Boston papers... http://www.boston.com/news/...

Re: Happy Birthday Dot Dot

ha Max, nice touch... we missed you at Dot's party.. it was a great time! will post pics soon and Skye has tons of video to share at some point...

Re: The Fall Season Shapes Up! It is totally annoying. I did not mind the first several, but now I’m getting the same couple of people all the time. Did they use their $100 advert credit on me? I guess I’m their target… GONG…. I am not so sure. I also clicked on it to see what it is about and decided (prior to seeing your post) that I just did not want my face in their ad (without a much better modeling contract!).
Good post!

Re: Snooth, WITS, Iridesse (oh my!)

Hey guys, Smoke here... Chairman of WITS, Wine 2.0 etc... glad you guys came to our conference.... glad you spoke about it a bit, and really interested in hearing last weeks interviews of attending companies which I missed. I'm not sure you guys got some of the key themes/points of the main session but would love to get more specific about what you did not like or think useful. The fishbowl marketing presentation was about a lot more than email. They reach more consumers than any blogger in the wine world. It is about wineries figuring out how to reach more consumers (the medium does not matter). To your point about Gary... Gary V was a keynote last year. He is also hosting our Wine 2.0 New York event Sep 18. I'd love to discuss all of this with you on a future show, let me know and I'll either met up or call in.

Kind Regards,

Smoke
