You know what would be awesome? Post your old "Mortasheen zombie generation table" here on your tumblr and give it the same treatment as the mutant one, encouraging art and whatnot. The zombie table is just as charming as your mutant one, and I think it would be great to see the various horrors within it illustrated as prolifically as the mutants.

Wow, this is one of the best takes on a "tank" monster I've seen in a long time. I love how the outer jaws slot together, as well as the hunched stance: not too threatening, but just enough.

I was trying to avoid being stupid and considering them "cute", but the actions of the young ones as described in the last paragraph made me feel warm and fuzzy(no! not fuzzy, covered in sensory organs!).

Very interesting creatures, anyway.Their social structure is fascinating. The idea of them climbing on top of each other for dominance is at once completely bizarre and perfectly sensible. Another great article about some little-known amazing beings that call this planet home.

By the way, what is the basic size of one of these?

The expression and stance on this makes it seem kind of.....noble, or proud, or something. Definitely not a gibbering, flailing sort of monster, which makes it somewhat a rarity.

Creepy as hell. The external organs look like they'd be a weak point, unless they're covered in cartilage or something.

Can you imagine being on a battlefield, preparing to fight, and seeing a horde pof Blightshade hovering over the enemy, brownish smoke spiraling from their antlers, painting the sky a diseased sepia color? I'd be demoralized, to say the least.

This guy will always hold a special place in my heart as the first Mortasheen monster I ever saw, because he was at the top of the list due to alphabetics.
