1. That is the reason political parties exist, so its really hard for an outsider to get in. Trump and Sanders are also part of the system. Try Jesse Ventura, who perhaps is outside the system.
2. Trump was put there to lose (there are people above him, that is not his decision to make), to help Hillary have a clear path, now that his charisma has him as the leader maybe he will be more serious.

How much they work has nothing to do with paying taxes. As a company is not very hard to not pay taxes, but as an employee is impossible. The problem is not the individuals its the laws.

The root of the problem is that in the last 30 years laws were modified to make employees powerless, right now a kid would be crazy to plan to work in an office or for a company. A lousy entrepreneur would likely make more money that a stressed out cubicle guy, with his fancy tie and neat corporate HQ.
