But in response to your last statement, i will leave you with this.

Christians have killed in the name of their God.
Muslims have killed in the name of their God.
Hindus have killed in the name of their God.
Jews have killed in the name of their God.

Is your religion without blame? Is your country without blame? (out of curiosity, what is your nationality and religion?).

Take care and good luck with your trading. I wish you all the best.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving from Winners Edge Trading

Good on you Casey. Like you, im thankful for many things - my health, my family and friends, my freedom, my faith.

Most recently, im thankful for all the hard work you put into this site and for your open and honest approach to sharing and teaching Forex. I stumbled across your site in some dark moments when id lost a lot of money and lost a lot of faith in myself. Like the lighthouse symbol in your site logo, you and the other writers who contribute here (Jordan, Michael, Tony, Mark) shone a light in the darkness for me, and helped me to try again. After regaining perspective and dusting myself off, ive slowly managed to bring my account into profit and my weekly pip count consistantly into the green. You guys have been pivotal in my trading career. So thankyou.. thankyou for helping me to refocus on the dream, for the new friends you have introduced me to and for the faithful education that continues to come from this site.

For the native American Indians, the Pilgrims and for all the people around the world who have suffered from the results of colonisation, despotism, discrimination.. i truly wish it were different. Theres nothing we can do about the past. We can remember how 'not to do it'. Hopefully, we can learn from our mistakes and move into a new future where people embrace peace and freedom and tolerance and acceptance. It all starts with us.

Have a great holiday you guys. Im celebrating with you in spirit. Save me some turkey, a beer and a seat in front for the next game! :)

Skiman
igniteFX

Re: Eur/Usd: Update on Todays Price Action

Great setup mate. Look forward to trying it out. I was watching that 1.500 area last night and went short when it did. Thanks to you and the guys who post here. Its because of you that i understand more and become more profitable. + $$ :) Its always great to hear confirmation of what you suspect.. it breeds confidence.

Well done, and please keep it coming.

Skiman
IgniteFX

Re: Euro/Dollar Trade Setup

Great write up Michael - very informative. Further to Caseys question, do you factor in the spread for the various currency pairs when entering a trade? For eg, the EURO/USD has a spread of 2 pips (for me) and i would feel less risk if i traded that pair than for example the USD/CAD (which has a 5 pip spread).

Which currency pairs do you trade most?
How profitable are you?
What is your usual monthly pip tally?

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge mate. I started following you on Twitter yesterday in an effort to give strength to the setups i felt were developing. As a young trader, one of the great challenges im finding in this business, is listening to the various traders and hearing conflicting entries and recommendations. For eg, almost within 30 secs of each other, i hear one trader saying he's long, and another trader saying he's short. Do you guys experience this as you trade together?

Please keep sharing your knowledge guys - you're an awesome resource. Much respect.

Skiman
IgniteFX

Re: Conversation With a Struggling Trader

Another great article... im learning heaps here :) Thanks.

I still cant see how you derive the top blue diagonal trend line of the bear flag. I can see how you draw the bottom one. Can you explain that one for me please Casey?

Cheers mate.

Re: Breaking Even: How to Preserve Your Bankroll

Good advice - im a new trader and guilty of not setting a profit target (especially on those trades that im expecting a breakout on. I do set stop losses and when i do remember to move my stops to BE, i usually add a couple of pips (just so that im not coming out with nothing). 1 pip is better than no pip :)

Thanks for the reminder. I often need someone to tell me what i already know! Look forward to more of your articles. Peace.

Re: Patience is a Virtue In Trading Forex

Hi Casey, thanks for the great analysis and informative posts. As im new to FX trading, ive been soaking up everything you guys write about in here. I poured over yesterdays post and watched the Euro for most of the day.. patiently waiting for the break youy described. I did take a short on this pair for 40 pips, but i got in a little higher than you and got out earlier too. I was mainly trying to avoid trading around major news announcements. In hindsight, i wish id placed a limit sell order just after the recommended breakout point and set a trailing stop for the night before i went to bed :) I would have had a nice surprise when i got up for work this morning!

Would you be able to show some screen captures in future showing where you're drawing your trendlines from? I suspect you draw them on a bigger time frame. Id like to see where you drew the blue lines from, for the bear flag in this post.

In closing, i just wanted to say i really enjoy reading your material here - especially your charts and analysis. You make it simple to understand and backup your material with specific entries and reasons why. Ive learnt heaps in the last week and am really looking forward to what you guys have in future. Keep up the great work. Cheers, blessings to you and your family... and good luck. :)

Anthony
