Argh! I've just left! On the shinkansen to Tokyo. I did manage to get some sight-seeing in yesterday though!

I was really disappointed with it when signing up for the free trial - I was hoping that it would really give Lovefilm a run for its money. However, the selection of films seems pretty dire, and I can't seem to find any way to build up a queue of what I want to stream either. I won't be continuing after my trial ends!

I recommended Japanese for Busy People. It is a bit business focussed, but having looked at loads of Japanese text books, this one seemed to do things in a sensible order and cover a lot of the basics. My only regret is buying the romaji version and not the kana version - I'd definitely have done that if I could to force me to learn hiragana and katakana!

I haven't tried Anki yet, but I'm probably going to download it today given all the comments here!

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean, bit far to go for a massive Hollister! Luckily the one here in Belfast seems to be pretty big, even if it's just on one floor!

Hmm. In Ireland we say beer before wine, feel fine, wine before beer, feel queer, but I'm not sure that helps, as it doesn't bring spirits into the equation. And I can never remember if it actually works like that either.
