Thank you for your eloquent comments, Mr. Morris! I agree. There are also nannies ferrying their charges around to music lessons, tutoring appointments, or just people with more bags of groceries than they can carry. Yes, you could do that on the bus, but it takes a lot longer!

I listened to this on the scanner. Somebody had some flares, so they followed those which really helped. It was very tense waiting to hear that they had been picked up. At one point it was reported that one of the victims had lost consciousness. Scary experience for everyone involved. I hope they are all right!

I agree with the concerns you mention in the article, especially the lack of parking. Beyond the issue of whether or not the occupants of the building will have cars that they are parking on neighborhood streets, what about visitors?Even when I, myself, didn't own a car my *friends* owned cars. They would park in my neighborhood when they visited me. Now the friends of forty-some people will be looking for parking in this neighborhood when they visit their (possibly) car-less apodment-dwelling friends. Even one such project in a neighborhood would create problems, but unless the rules are changed we will be looking at several! I am really concerned about the impact of projects that add people without parking!
