No, I live in an apartment rented to me by one of my Chinese friends.
Some hotels here that cater to foreigners do have VPN's, sadly one of the many double standards you find in this country. Technically, VPN's are illegal.
I'm in the process of actually sharing this page with most of my Chinese friends because I want them to see how a small group of their countrymen are portraying them on a 'global' website.

VPN's are technically illegal here in China but the only time they are blocked is when there's what's called a 'sensitive' time, i.e. when Xi Jinping took office.

So very true sadly. I may be British, but my government's foreign policy is appalling. Whilst most of the world seems to think the primary reason is oil, that's secondary to the 'Poppy'. They still want control over the drug trade.

I've never known a Chinese person to not be welcomed in the UK. My hometown has quite a large Chinese population and they're not disrespected. Of course there are a very small minority of outspoken people who hate all foreigners, but the same could be said of any country.

I can't believe that the Windows Phone 8 version accepts the basic camera on my cheap Nokia 620 but this version will not work with the camera on my Asus VivoTab Smart.

To be fair though, I won't use it much as I've always found the translations to be pretty shocking to be honest (Windows phone 8 version). I've been living in China for 14 months now and it has never once provided me with a truly accurate translation. 4 in 10 attempts with give me something I can just about understand, but most of the time it's pure gibberish. A real shame to be honest, I would love this work properly. 我的中文不好！
