I'm not sure what's going on with the comments, disqus seems to be having
problems. We didn't reach out to Facebook for two reasons:

1. We didn't think anyone would care, didn't expect to see this much
response.
2. It's quite hard to actually contact Facebook, all of their "contact"
links redirect you to their help forum

Just to clarify, we're not referring to the use in the app. We're upset about them reproducing our class as their own in three20 without any attribution to us. I've already looked back as far as their initial commit, and there's no mention where thye got the source code from.

give us permission to release it.

They said they'd get back to us and never did, so there's not much we

We've had a paid 99c version with a ton of extra features submitted
with apple for over a month now.. Still waiting for apple to approve
though.

We submitted it to Apple over 3 weeks ago, they haven't approved it, and they're refusing to respond to our emails.. So unfortunately, there's not much we can do right now... We want it out more than any of you guys do.

We'll be announcing 1.5 features next week once it gets approved. As for the censorship of categories, I assume you're referring to the Sex category. Apple rejected us due to it initially, so we had to take it out.

We know there are other apps for fmylife.com on AppStore that have the Sex category, and quite honestly, we're not sure why they were allowed and we weren't. Due to our popularity on AppStore and the need to get a version of FML out that fixes the constant crashing people are experiencing, we haven't been able to submit a version to Apple with "Sex" enabled again due to the 7+ day approval process and risk of getting rejected.

Once 1.5 comes out, we might try to submit a version with it enabled since we feel like 1.5 is stable enough to risk the next verison getting rejected and causing a delay.

While there is probably a bit of truth in your post, our existing user base is still very important to us.

We're going to do everything in our power to regain the trust of the the existing users and get them to switch back to MobileChat.

We're currently allocating all of our resources right now to the server situation. Once we're satisfied with the servers, we'll reallocate a portion back to the client development and we'll definitely be reconsidering who will and won't be a beta tester.

Just wanted to make a quick comment on "Stuff popping up in front of what I might be trying to read? Cluttered, annoying, unintuitive, I hope you can disable it."

As far as I understand that screenshot, thats what popups up when you want to type. If you look closely, you'll notice a cursor icon right after the "e" in "awesome".

Look's like there's going to be another round/week of back and forth before it gets up there.

It was officially rejected, again. We can't say too much now that Apple considers rejection letters part of the NDA.

We'll figure out what we can say and post a blog in the morning.

This is something that will definitely be added in the future, just at this time, it's not even on our to-do list.

We push the SMS messages through AIM's SMS gateway. We basically sent out an IM from your screen name to your phone number.

If you wanted to do something similar, most providers let you email your phone number:
15552027754@mmode.com

Of course, there are delays with that depending on your carrier. There are a bunch of other email to SMS services you could look into to use an email address to send an SMS message to your phone.

There is a way to hide the keyboard, just not something we make clear to the user (not really sure how we'd make it clear?).

You can double tap the chat, and it'll hide the keyboard.

It remains to be seen. As of right now? No.

We have a team of OF specialists continuously working on it to get it tweaked right, however, we're proceeding as if its not going to work. We're having native implementations of each protocol developed to plug directly into MobileChat's Servers, if that ends up being a waste of time because OF works out, well, at least we were prepared if it didn't :).

Yeah I think so. We haven't experienced any MSN related crashes in quite some time.
