Even as mad as Oscar was three seconds ago, and as in IMMEDIATE DANGER of strangulation as he currently is, Oscar still, doesn't, touch, Cliff.

He doesn't try to grab the wuff to try and get him to calm down, to keep him from bolting (just arms in the way), he's not reaching up to grip Cliff's wrists to try and get air. Even in situations of heightened volatile emotions, Oscar notes Cliff's very understandable triggers and does his very best to not do anything to make it worse -- even to risk to himself.

Sylvia, however, has all the "I'm not touching you but this ain't on" vibes.

Why is the indications of the poison on Oscars neck more pronounced than they were in the last photo?

Maybe I'm misremembering, but it was established that she worked -at- the brothel, but specifically -not- taking clients. It looks like she's working At The Brothel, but Not Taking Clients.

It looks like she gave him the book to him to read in private and discuss later, and he confronted her at work rather than waiting until 'later' (she is the door-greeter for the establishment, after all).

My most uncomfortable thing about the spiders design is that the abdomen curls under and FORWARD. That is one deformed spoder. Poor spoder. She is not very healthy at -all-.

Relatively unrelated, but Pascalle, you're my favourite artist.

Not the least because of how awesome you draw and make the arts and that I just sit here staring at the little things.

But because there is an awesome level of 'aww lol' in the way you interact with us too. And I just sit here, staring at those too with a similar feeling of 'wow that is so nice'.

I don't recall Cliff having glowing new-grass-green eyes that are conveniently and not at all suspiciously the same colour as the glow-in-the-dark mottherflies.

I am hope hope hoping it's not part of the show, so I'm super examining the art.

In the earlier panels, Cliffs eyes are relaxed, half-lidded, and unfocused.
He's very passive in the presentation, hand is lifted rather than offered, and I'll have to go back and check, but I -think- when he was revealed he was just standing there.

Her expression was very calm, confident. Loving almost? Like that was part of the show, apparent adoration and fondness for cliff. Despite the colour change of the lighting, which might be actual colour change of the lighting in the presentation, or artistic license to make -us- realise that 'oh he mad', her expression is shocked, and his eyes are more open, there is expression of 'mad' on his face as well.

So ... background lighting may say its a performance. Expressions, which would not be seen all that well from the crowd, especially with skull-masks covering half of their faces, suggest "No, he really mad". Might be performance, might be a really on the ball lighting guy (and if they're all 'hers' then might be easier for him to be on the ball because she all 'he mad let's tell them he mad with COLOUR!'
