The jealousy argument is so invalid it doesn't even deserve to be addressed. Only people new to the internet believe criticism comes from jealousy. Were people jealous of Hitler? Hell no.

If you don't like it, stop posting. It's that simple. The reason online bullying exists for YOU is you have welcomed it, asked for it. Kids in school who get bullied day in and day out just for existing are truly bullied. You aren't. As a matter of fact, you are a bigger bully than anyone on your hate site. You had your father call up people at their place of employment, had a friend telephone another and harrass her, all people who did not ask for attention. YOU DO. If you don't like it, stop putting your life on the internet. The only person you can control is YOURSELF. You cannot control how people react to what you put out there. If you hate the feedback you get, change your output or gtfo the internet.

I will be at your panel on Tuesday and plan to bring up this point if there is an open mic. You are trying to control the internet instead of your own behavior. Be an adult already, Julia. Take responsibility for the choices you make.

NYC is all over Tumblr because all of the web entrepreneurs live there and fawn over each other in real life and on online.

It's kind of like how Wal-Mart began in the deep South and has gradually moved out from there, but most of them are associated with the Southern tradition.

As for me, I live in Texas. :)

I would rather look at a table to see how well my country is doing overall. The fact that the U.S. is first doesn't matter to me so much, what matters to me is that it's on top where I can easily find it.
