I so totally agree with everything you said. For me, there is just one more that I would add in the Twangy category, and that's Dwight Yoakam. Dwight has it for his swagger, for going his own way outside of Nashville, and he dated Sharon Stone for cryin out loud. But he is REALLY REALLY twangy!

hey bro, been away for awhile - even though an 'older' post jus had to comment. absolutely 100% agree on the post. had to snicker about Cryar - didn't know that one though. also a shame the chrisian 'machine' didn't let us down with their response. i really felt for doug and his anguish when 1st reading about the two forces vying for his identity/soul. certainly ongoing.
lately been absorbing "ogre tones" and ty's "rock garden" - downloading xv now!
know how i mentioned the ability to hit a show these days is a tough one for me, but this show begs to be seen. two fave bands together? aug 8 - mt clemens? hmmm...... tkts are still available...

you know what impresses me?
i read the post fresh from my cellphone last nite (heard it vibrate on the kitchen counter @ 1 am, hmm twitter - gotta remember to turn off updates @ niteynite) since then i've looked forward to see what kind of comments it would draw.
i check back "wow, 10..." i open and really expected a bunch from WW tweets - how cool is it that every single one came from "outside"

to you 10 & others - it was really fresh & fun, i was totally surprised at the number of laptops in the room. it was distracting at times, but then i was twittering too. looking forward to more to come
