Happy New Year 2010!!! My association with your music started after listened to that mesmerising "Chinnanchiru Kiliye..." and "Chandiran Oliyil..." (Malayamaarutham) at the JAYATV concert in the year 2003. The following year's TILLAI concert made me one of your ardent, maverick fans. The "Maanada Mazhuvada..." viruttam, the Kedaram, the Purvikalyani that you sang in that concert were just too good (beyond words). That was the beginning and now you are an integral part with all your CDW commercial CDs.

Wishing you good health, more courage and the effervescent spirit to enthrall us for many many........many more years to come.

Dear Sanjay,
Congratulations for another good concert at the Academy. The Kalyana Vasantham RTP was fantastic. It was not at all comforting for die-hard fans like me to see you coughing so often during today's concert. But one thing that I noticed that each time you had coughed you came back with some stunning sangathis immediately after that. This was something similar to Mohinder Amarnath getting hit by some of the fiery Windies bowlers, but bouncing back with some stunning hook shots immediately. Another problem with 2.5 hour concerts is that it deprives us of some good viruttams and light numbers.

Hi Sanjay,
Thanks for another great concert yesterday at Vidya Bharathi. The Keeravani (special bcoz it is a Tamizh Krithi and on Annamalaiyaar) and the Kambhoji were outstanding. It is a pity that I missed the Sahana RTP at Kalarasna since I was out of Chennai last week. I am so thrilled and happy that you mentioned it to me yesterday that "Sahana Paadi Mudichitene....". Thanks a lot for obliging my request. The other ragam still remains open :-)

Happy New Year 2009! A very nice post regarding the Begada krithi of Swathi Tirunal. As a hardcore fan of yours, I have come across a few "select" songs that you deliver frequently so that upon repeated hearing it becomes part of my system. For example, the Natarajapaatu viruttam, Tiruvadi Charanam and some of your specific pallavis for specific RTPs. In a similar vein I was totally mesmerised by your Vagulabaranam (Sadhu Tada) at Kalarasana this year. Thankfully I found a commercial recording of the song with CDW. I hope this begada masterpiece is repeated often and gets into a commercial recording soon.

Great start to the season and for die-hard Sanjay fans like me it was the perfect day. Really enjoyed Hemvathi, Hamsanadham, Sahana and Desh. Thanks for including a small sweet Viruttam before Oho Kalame. Especially the line about how creditors rue time.

Your JayaTV concerts has the added attraction of "typical Sanjay" responses to some "heavy-duty" questions. When you gave an answer referring to Tuglaq movie, I was reminded of your response 2 years back for a question about "music reaching within".

I am maverick fan of yours and have not missed a single Margazhi Maha Utsavam concert of JayaTV. In fact I even appear in the "audience reaction" in the concert telecast on JayaTV. Needless to say I would have gone "ga-ga" over your singing. You are like what SRT is to me in cricket. I was wondering what would be the topic tomorrow and just got to see your blog. Now I am all set to listen to another mesmerising concert. Please make sure there is a Viruttam at the end :-)
I have been there for all your concerts - Bharathi (2003), Tillai (2004), Sivan (2005), Tiruvarutpa (2006), Tamizh Moovendar (2007).
