KD, We definitely appreciate and respect your comment. We had a hard time with this series as well, but we got so much positive feedback from women on it, than we decided to publish it. Yes, the "Force Fantasy" warning is there to warn people that this is not a healthy BDSM relationship, but one that crosses some very dark lines. Indeed, the writer told us that she worked through an unhealthy relationship of her own through this series. And in the end, we do feel that it's important to explore the darker sides of relationships and sex through literature.

Hmmm... this is a conundrum! It's so important not to repress the wild girl, but at the same time, not destroy the integrity of the relationship. Al -- I think we all agree here, the government is filled with idiots. I'm not entirely familiar with SIECUS, and I'm glad you brought them to our attention. I intend to look into the organization. Some other things to consider on the other side... there is $120 to $170 million (depending on what you read) in federal funding that goes to abstinence only sex education. However, a new study was released last year that showed that "At present there does not exist any strong evidence that any abstinence program delays the initiation of sex, hastens the return to abstinence or reduces the number of sexual partners among teenagers." The report, which was based on a review of research into teenager sexual behavior, was released by the nonpartisan National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. Furthermore, the report indicated that comprehensive sex ed might actually reduce the number of teen pregnancies, whereas abstinence-only does not. I totally agree with you that parents are the best source of information and education, but what happens to the unfortunate children who don't get any information from their parents? They come away with strange ideas such as a woman thinking that if she douches after sex, it will keep her from getting pregnant (yes, we had an email from a woman asking about this). It's a problem -- as Jordan said, young people do need a trusted source to go to.
