I don't know where the ads went, but I am glad they are gone - especially the smarmy Mac vs PC ads. Now if we can just get rid of those endless AT&T commercials with Luke Wilson, which has to be one of the worst ad campaigns I've seen in a long time, and they are everywhere.

I have been extremely disappointed with Modern Family this entire season so far. It was a show I didn't want to miss last season, but something changed with it. I don't know if the popularity went to the writers' heads or what, but it is just not the same. By comparison, both the Middle and especially Cougar Town have been fantastic. I hope Modern Family finds its bearings again, as it is a great show - it just seems to be in a sophomore slump.

Definitely one of my favorite episodes so far. The show just keeps getting better and better, unlike Modern Family, which seems to have driven off of a cliff. Cougar Town doesn't need to be deep, but yet it has the right balance of humor and seriousness when it needs it. I don't think there is a better cast in a comedy right now.

It was a fantastic ending to a mediocre episode in a mediocre season. I love Katy Cassidy also, but Juliet is just not doing it for me. I long for her to bring some Ella heat to the lackluster GG, but the character is a bore. At least Serena's breasts, which are their own cast members, made an appearance. Colin is an interesting character - I love the actor, and he always manages to play charming characters with a dark side pretty well. Blair and Chuck's hate sex certainly was hot, but the rest of it was just tepid at best. It just seems to be a rehash of the same things over and over again. I still watch, but I am actually enjoying 90210 more than GG, which is saying something.

I still think Microsoft made a mistake pricing it at $149. Hopefully it will eventually drop to a $99 price point, I think it would be much more of an impulse purchase at that price point. For compelling games to be made for it, there needs to be a huge install base.

I think Caprica was mostly a victim of SyFy's mismanagement. How can any show build up a following when there is such a huge gap after just a few episodes. I do think Caprica was distinctively different from BSG, but I loved it. The virtual world concept was fascinating, as was seeing the beginning of the Cylons. However, I do think the show got too weighted down and was a bore when it returned for the second half of the season. It definitely was a deep show compared to most of what is on tv. I will definitely miss it, and will probably not give Blood and Chrome a chance because I have no faith in SyFy. I was lucky to come to BSG very late in the series, so I was able to watch it from the beginning on DVD at my own pace. If I had to put up with the way SyFy schedules things and the huge gaps between seasons, I never would have watched it.

Definitely the best episode of the season. I am happy to see Blair and Chuck making their way back to each other. They are the only interesting couple on the show, and their interactions are wildly entertaining. I loved the Bitches of East(side) ending with Juliet, Vanessa and Jenny doing some web cam plotting. Talk about Face Time. I even felt momentarily sorry for Dan, who I normally loathe. The scene where he saw Serena at the ballet and was just watching her was touching, especially when she was true to form and ended up kissing Colin. Overall, a great episode and a reminder of how good Gossip Girl can still be.

Another excellent episode in a fantastic season so far. The surprisingly violent death of one of the vampires was definitely more True Blood than Twilight, and was a nice part of the dark edge that Vampire Diaries has. I am loving the enhanced role of Caroline, and also it's nice to see Jeremy more. I do wish Alaric had a larger role, though they have kind of dropped Elana's parental storyline in favor of Katherine, which I have to admit is much more entertaining. Alaric just seems to provide bizarre weapons and babysit Elana's aunt. I loved the scene where Damon admitted to Elena that he loved her, then took away her memory of it. I did not like Damon at first, but he has become my favorite character and I love the layers they have added to him. Vampire Diaries remains a can't miss show for me, and this episode continues my obsession with it.

I thought it was a fairly solid episode overall. The show is much more watchable this season, though I admit I only started watching again for the Teddy storyline. Surprisingly Jen was my favorite part of the episode. I am sad that she bailed, even if she does think she is doing Jack a favor. I also enjoyed the interactions between Naomi and Ivy. I am a bit bored with Silver -she has hit on everyone but Liam at this point. I am glad Adrianna stood up for herself, and Joe Jonas actually was halfway decent. I am looking forward to more Teddy screen time next week, and seeing Navid eventually lose everything when his dad goes to prison. 90210 is not the best show, but this season has definitely improved.

The Beatles' music coming to iTunes is a total yawn. It's also a reminder of how often Apple uses other companies' names - starting with Apple itself (Apple Corps), iPhone (Infogear/Cisco), and iPad (Fujitsu).

The Kinect has managed to capture the mindshare of consumers, where the Move has not. Microsoft has done a far better job of positioning it than Sony has. It also has a certain cool factor that the Move lacks, mainly because the Move is highly derivative of the Wii.

I own an iPad, an iPod Touch, and a Mac Mini. I constantly find myself frustrated without Flash on my iPad. There are often embedded videos I would love to see but I can't. It is actually Apple that is refusing to work with a technology, not the other way around.

Seriously. If I wanted endless Apple stories (and not badly written click bait ones at that), I would visit TUAW. Joe's "articles" have nothing to do with BetaNews or the focus of this site. I don't actually blame Joe for that, however dubious his stuff is, I blame the site operators for allowing it.

My favorite thing about SplashTop over any other VNC program I have used is that it streams video and audio in real time. It makes it perfect for watching Flash video on the iPad, and Flash sites in general work great. It somehow manages to make Windows 7 perfectly touch friendly and fully useable on the iPad. I use the hell out of it and can't believe it was only $1.99.

You are wrong that no one would use it to watch video. It is one of the many things I use it for, and TeamViewer can't hold a candle to it in that regard, or just in general use on the iPad. I love TeamViewer on the desktop, I would not use anything else. However, on the iPad, SplashTop definitely has it beat and is worth $2.
