Preaching this lack-of-faith is every bit as repulsive as preaching the gospel and, for my part, I could do without seeing ads for either on the bus as it goes by. It’s as unrealistic as promoting abstinence and as unconscionable as chasing ambulence. Sure, we could do it. But for this godless heathen, at least, I have yet to find a compelling reason we should.

In the used car sales that is religion in America, we’d all do better with one less lot by the highway."

Couldn't have said it better myself, especially the "used car sales" comment about religion. If pop-religion, guitars in church, and touchy-feely nonsense is all American religion can offer, than thanks, but no thanks.

Re: Obama’s Napoleon Complex

This is true, but the point I'm trying to make is that ethnic cleansing isn't just what Hitler did, he doesn't have a monopoly on that term. When the US wiped out a third of the Native Americans through war and famine, over a tenth of the Vietnamese population wiped out in the Vietnam war; to me, these are all ethnic cleansing, justified by a War Party that really is unfavorable to people with darker skin.
Just because it isn't our stated policy, does not mean that the Afghans (and Pakistanis) are not being systematically targeted and destroyed by US drones and aircraft. Cleansing a certain region of its ethnic inhabitants to me is ethnic cleansing.
