I agree that they need to be rejected.

They can't just ask for our faith, our faith and respect has to be earned, and so far, neither party's officials have done anything to earn either from me.

Both parties are great at talking us up, but they just fail to deliver.

The scenario you depicted isn't a civil war, it is anarchy. You do have a point though, an extreme event could easily enough become a catalyst for such things to happen.

I wouldn't worry about it to much.

Society is vastly different than it was during the civil war. If there was that much angst towards the fed's, they would get voted out of office long before a war broke out over it.

Typical, target and mock individuals instead of discussing or challenging the concepts with a solid argument.

And doesn't most of this site say that it supports the independents more than either party?

Even if this site does lean towards more of the conservative ideals, doesn't the republican party tend to be based around leaving people with more rights and less laws?

The democratic party, for example, is largely in support of gun control, which flies in the face of the second amendment. Now, tell me again, which party is more interested in separating America from it's rights?

Both parties are, screwed up, probably beyond repair, and it is clear you have your mind set to ignore anything that challenges any part of the democratic party. Unfortunately there are a lot of people in both parties who vote only for their party and not the candidate that they truly think would serve America best. It is people like that, people like you, who have ensured the failure of the bipartisan system.

Close mindedness will be humanity's downfall.
