You say that the price of this eco-friendly jewelry will be increasing a lot and that this is a selfish exercise for monetary gain. This is incorrect. SDJB is selling its recycled gold to jewelry artisans at 5% over the current market price for gold. The artisan may or may not decide to pass along this extra cost to the jewelry buyer. Often an artisan won't but will just adjust his personal labor costs accordingly. But if the artisan does add this extra cost to the final price of the ring, this will normally account for only a small 1.5% to 2% increase in the overall retail price. Neither San Diego Jewelry Buyers nor Timothy Meier is making any extra money in this endeavor. We are both driven by our desire to do our own small part to reduce harmful mining activities. Carl Blackburn has clearly stated that while this is kind of gold recycling is by no means the final or only solution going green with jewelry making, it is one step in the right direction. If you would like further information about what SDJB is doing, feel free to contact us anytime.</p>
