You mean a slow complicated micro kernel, that not even Apple or Microsoft can implement?

Yes, they use about the same type of kernel as Linux and the BSD's.

i've never once asked (or cared) about the BIOS, or the Nvidia drivers or anything like that being open sourced , Windows is terrible, Vista is unusable, and I use Linux by choice.

My argument was why was it singling Linux out for deliberately bad tables, and why were the BIOS writers not coding to the ACPI standards.

I never asked them to bend over backwards, there is no reason what I'm asking is unfair.

I suppose you're the kind of people that want your ISP to meter your bandwidth just so you can pay more for it, and block sites they don't think you should see.

They are fixing the BIOS, and have acknowledged that the problem was their's and AMI's, and not Linux.
