The files were copied to my root.  I had to delete them.  Meanwhile, the cPanel provides a quick &amp;amp; easy process.  You upload the tar.gz package and extract it in the file manager. I received this:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;gzip: Joomla_1.5.11_to_1.5.12-Stable-Patch_Package.tar.gz: not in gzip format&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What did I do wrong? I used the gzip -d command as specified.
