Seriously, I totally agree. Brands have a HUGE opportunity to enter into an untapped (by comparison) world and reach new customer (while WOWING existing ones!).

The RoyalAnts crew gets it, and will be streaming this weekend. It is time consuming, stressful, difficult, and all the other things that "work" can be, but it creates a sense of accomplishment that very few 9 to 5's can do. So, if you are not in a position to leave the day job, it certainly doesn't mean you should hustle any less or with less passion!

Re: Gary Vaynerchuk - How will Twitter monetize?

How many 3rd year companies are rolling in revenue? The user base continues to explode, and when the time is right, Twitter will be swimming in gold. And they should be.

www.RoyalAnts.com

Re: Gary Vaynerchuk - The value of each viewer/user/customer is NOT THE...

You know, it's amazing. I am sick of the term "social media" because of how trendy it has become, and how many "experts" there are online. Yet the whole concept is soooo under-utilized by brands and companies that could be (should be!) taking advantage of it.

Traditional marketers are trying to incorporate social media into their old school methods and they have no clue. Old school brands are comfortable with traditional marketers and they end up living in the past.

You are so right about the value of "Sally Arkansas" who is seeing an ad on Facebook vs. seeing it during re-runs of Rock of Love. Good stuff as always Gary. Your next venture should be teaching a class...Isn't it time for universities to wake up to the new wave of marketing/advertising/promoting? Current business degrees are already outdated...

Re: Mention Bloggers’ Names, Get Traffic

Sounds like I'll be pimping you, Louis, Brogan, etc. Pimpin ain't easy, but it sounds beneficial!

Re: Gary Vaynerchuk - Getting fame or money or more eyeballs doesn’t...

Couldn't agree more. As the eyeballs become greater, YOU are found out/exposed. The haters always want to come out and say you are getting to big for your own head. Great analogy about bands. As a small town indie band, they are "cool." First platinum record makes them a "sellout."

Silly stuff. Keep bringin the THUNDER...
