I thought Kurtz was waay ahead of the game in having bloggers on -- even before they were fashionable to the media establishment. I've watched the show since the days Bernie Kalb was co-hosting, so i'm partial. It seems that Howie's work with the Daily Download had a lot of overlap with his duties at Daily beast, so I'll take him at his word that this was in the works. That having been said, I think Howie is more of an Establishment platyer and not the dynamic young barnstormer that Daily beast needs to drive traffic and comments.
