Very nice article - thank you! Not the typical, 6 paragraph, superficial overview of what's 'new at CES', and I appreciate your deeper insights. I just purchased a Fossil hybrid (with their e-ink, helping with fantastic battery life), and am looking forward to how this type evolves. Seeing the newer color e-ink shown at CES, with fast refresh rate, I'd welcome that incremental development making its way onto my wrist, allowing for more customization.

I disagree - and understand this is more a distinction of definitions. Atheism, as I use it and identify myself, is simply not believing there is a god or gods. Whether that's from considering and rejecting claims, or never being presented by the mere concept of god or gods, is a separate conversation, and a sub-category (though I really don't care about that distinction).

I'm surprised Spielberg isn't eating this up. Maybe Peter Greenaway? It'd be colorful.
Spike Jonze would be interesting. Maybe Kearney? Perhaps Robert Zemeckis (if only it was animated)? Paul Thomas Anderson? I like the David Lynch idea the best.
It's a shame Kubrick died.

I really don't mind what you say about Malcolm X or Jeremiah Wright - have at 'em. I was more referencing the idea that "they" would be living on social security, or selling barbecue sauce - that easy stereotype is always refreshing to hear. I completely agree, Koob (about the script being Probably the greatest ever).
Johnny, for 12 Angry Men, I don't know if you want to go in fresh, but the kid's totally guilty (just kidding).
Pay attention to the Way that movie's shot - as it goes on, the edits get quicker, and the ceiling starts to close in on them - if you're in just the right mood, you'll feel claustrophobic by the end of 12 angry men. Sidney Lumet is easily one of my top 3 favorite directors (for what that's worth). Enjoy!
