Unfortunately, no. Most of the flight the cameras were fogged up, actually. Only about 5 minutes before it hit max altitude did the fog clear. They fell back through the fog layer and didn't clear again until a few minutes before landing. The goal was for that to happen, but things didn't work out.

Re: Operation StratoSphere – Conclusion

Thanks José Teixeira! The algorithm only looks from the top down until it hits a piece. It doesn't explore the whole space. So you can very effectively hide the playing field from it by creating overhangs.

Re: Bastet – Bastard Tetris (updated)

Thanks for playing!

Re: #AltDevBlogADay » AltDevConf Session Videos

For future events of this type, please ensure that all talks will be available after the sessions.

Re: LiveTrax Released

Can you release the source?

Re: Battlelog Mods server-side code 2.7 released

I wouldn't mind seeing an "always leave voice channel when joining/creating a party" option.

Re: Bastet – Bastard Tetris (updated)

You hit 90 lines! That kind of totally changes the game from being Tetris,
though. :)

Re: Bastet – Bastard Tetris (updated)

Not to great benefit, no. But that's not quite what I meant. It is certainly possible to play in such a fashion that it doesn't devolve into a stream of S pieces.

However, this contraption isn't necessarily meant to be winnable. The fact that is causes frustration is kind of a tacit nod toward its name. :)

Re: Bastet – Bastard Tetris (updated)

What does that mean? I will definitely agree that it does tend to give those pieces, but it shouldn't always give them to you. Mix it up a bit. There are some strategies that work quite well for defeating the "AI".
