Because of the compressed information in a japanese kanji character although japanese requires more space for each character all characters have at least as much information in them as one english letter and most have more. The end result is the localizing team has very few windows to cram a lot of information into, one way to fit this is to drop a few pixels from the character width.

that said I'd rather see a properly kerned font than a horribly compressed one any day.

Re: - I like appearing interesting to a bunch of random...

Actually, much like facebook circa 2005; Tumblr is the great single's bar in the sky.

Re: When Pigs Fly - Tiny Cartridge - Nintendo DS & DSi News, Media, Videos, Imports, Homebrew, & Retro Junk

ugh, 327 deaths in 26.18.
Second time through I managed with 100 deaths even at 11:26

Re: We just updated the Followers and Following pages.... | Tumblr Staff

Get rid of that unfollow button on the Following page. it doesn't add any functionality (how often do you want to unfollow people?) and it's too easy to accidently click.

Re: Trailer for Space Invaders Infinity Gene... - Tiny Cartridge - Nintendo DS & DSi News, Media, Videos, Imports, Homebrew, & Retro Junk

Yet another reason I want an iTouch ^_^

Re: Booster for Game Boy (click for larger image).
