Most Europeans and Americans are not keenly aware that Iran is on track to having the ability to threaten Kuwait City, Riyadh, Dubai, Istanbul, Athens, Rome, Berlin, Paris, London, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles with nuclear weapons. They are oblivious to the ultimate aim of the Iranian nuclear weapons program: to transform Iran into the dominant global superpower by enabling its regime to attain hegemonic control of the petroleum production of all of the Gulf region’s oil states, while preventing the West from taking military action against Iran by deploying missiles that can obliterate Western cities. A normal civilized society?
When Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza, did Hamas start building schools, universities, a free-market economic system, or any other part of a normal civilized society? No. Hamas’ top agenda was to go on a brutal rampage directed against its own people, the members of Fatah. Their next “priority” was to start shooting missiles at Israel. This is not the mark of a civilized society, but of brutal thugs (e.g., gangs) fighting a petty turf war. The entire Goldstone report is invalid and morally tainted.
The evidence, as Goldstone stated, was based almost entirely on UNVERIFIABLE PALESTINIAN CLAIMS and publications from politicized pro-Palestinian NGOs – the report cites B'tselem and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights each more than 70 times, Al-Haq allegations get more 30 mentions, and there are many more NGO co-authors. The methodology used in the 36 incidents examined by the committee will give critics of the report and the commission the strongest basis for rejecting its conclusions. Democracy in the Arab countries.
The Arab leaders in the Middle-East are afraid of peace. They simply cannot afford it. Non-oil sector production is stagnant. Factories may remain open but many do not pay workers. Wild cat strikes have occurred in Tehran, Isfahan, Qazvin and Sanandaj. Purchasing power has plummeted.To mitigate such trends, the government has imposed price controls. Israel should revoke the citizenship of terrorists and THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS.
The rising terror wave is the proof of the need to inflict harsher punishments, such as the demolition of the terrorists’ homes and financial penalties on family members, aimed at deterring future attacks. This will have a long-term effect on people and contribute to deterring others from perpetrating attacks in the future. A stronger security presence in high-risk areas of Jerusalem is necessairy. We have been fooling ourselves all these years. We are ignoring the participation of Arabs with Israeli citizenship in terrorist attacks, and we refuse to recognize that most of the property crimes in Israel are carried out by Arabs. We also don't want to know about the systematic Arab takeover of Jewish neighborhoods in Israeli cities, significant centers of unrest exist, just like in Akko, in Lod, Ramle, Yaffo, Carmiel, Upper Nazareth, and Haifa as well. Chances of Peace.
Occupation is not the issue and Palestinian statehood has never been the answer. Only when Arabs demonstrate acceptance of Israel as a Jewish state will negotiations produce peace, not bloodshed. Anyone who can claim that if Israel returns its re-claimed territory and in the process dangerously weakens itself that this will guarantee peace is a dreamer and completely out of touch with reality. This is the big lie of the Israel/Palestine conflict.
The Palestinians have successfully sold the idea that they are resisting an occupation. Israel is the occupier, the Palestinians are resisting, so the problem can be solved by pressuring Israel politically, economically, and militarily. When we examine both Palestinian words and actions, we see that this is really something much different from what it seems. The rhetoric of hatred, the indoctrination of children, the Palestinians’ willingness to use their own people as martyrs for the sake of blackening Israel’s image, the constant threats to destroy Israel and to liberate “all” of Palestine, are all signs that this is no revolutionary movement in the Western mold. A Palestinian poll released This month showed that most residents of the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip wish to emigrate, compared to 25 percent in the West Bank. According to the poll, 74 percent of Gazans support continuing the cease-fire between Israel and Hamas in the Strip. The poll showed that 64 percent believe the Western-backed Abbas’ term should end now. Only 24 percent believe he has another year. The poll was released by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research. Pollsters surveyed 1270 Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. The margin of error was 3 percentage points. To Abbas “armed struggle” remains an option.
It is certainly possible for someone to reform and break from his past, and some former Fatah terrorists have genuinely done so. But that has not been Abbas’s course. On the contrary, Abbas has bragged about his role in blazing the path of Palestinian terror and about how he and his companions showed the way to others, indeed trained others, including Hezbollah. And he has spoken recently of “armed struggle” being at present counterproductive but a path that might meet his approval in the future. Stop training Fatah!
The United States has spent tens of millions of dollars to build a training camp in Jericho and teach military skills to Fatah militia forces. Its initial training was a dismal failure as the well-armed Hamas militia pulverized Fatah in the militia war leading up to the Hamas takeover in Gaza. The U.S. has continued to pump money and advisors into training Fatah, which has deployed hundreds of armed policemen in Jenin and Shechem. Israel has complained that they do very little to fight terrorism and that the IDF still has to conduct most of the counterterrorist operations in the areas. More at :
