So if it really was a staffer who wrote that "homosexuals have no place in America", then fire the staffer, just like you would if they had said that African Americans have no place in America. But what does Ogles do after blaming the staffer? He doesn't fire him. He "reprimands" him. Uh uh. Not buying it. I'm not buying that it came from a staffer. Not with Ogles's history of bigoted posts.

And something else I'm not buying. Speaker Johnson's sanctimonious declaration that we must respect and be kind to gay people. Not with his history of anti-gay legislation.

Trump has said that the talks are off, and the talks are on. So, given that Trump always lies, the truth must be that the talks are neither off nor on. That leaves the possibility that the talks never started at all. And this would seem to be confirmed by Trump saying that the talks had started. Another possibility is that they started, but they were never talks. Just shouting matches.
