The main reason for this you got more followers the more will be able to see your updates, your news and your spams if your into it. This calls to mind if some people get to manipulate billions of followers by being on the watchlist like, If I have work hard to earn those thousands of followers I would also be pissed off to know this.

I also wasn't old enough when that happened. All I can remember is that he's the favorite president of my mom, and she's been crying all day. My dad came home early that day and told me that the president is dead. I was barely 3 years old at that time so I really don't know the impact of that news.

Yes this is true Twitter could help you become more productive in your field if only if you only knew how to best benefit from it. Its micro blogging platform have really help especially in journalism this recent months. I hope the company would come to terms as how Twitter could be more of help in spreading the news instantly.
