I agree with you on having hopes for that website. The Kanye/Jane satire was actually semi- cute/funny, but instead of developing that satirical edge, they both de-evolved and some of their commentary was too personal, like the Rumi as stripper images and the comments towards Jane's family's income::intelligence. That just comes off as bitter.

I disagree with you though, as to who these "haters" are and why they bother to leave-usually anonymous-negative comments. I agree very much with Peter's opinion.

However, it could be because I am not totally sure what criteria you are using to define a "hater" or "negative feedback." To me, someone who disagrees is not a hater but COULD be considered negative just because it's dissenting or whatever. But someone who is attacking another personally is always a hater and always negative. Then again, you mentioned this at the very beginning. So I am confused I suppose.

Yes, that is probably just the optimist in you. And perhaps it's just the misogynist in me when I say a lot of people really do just suck and have anger and aggression in their hearts and the internet is a safe way for them to vent it without having to actually say it to the victims' faces (because really, most of them probably wouldn't if they actually had the chance.) The proof of this is any popular YouTube video comment board, filled with mindless hatred; or the fact that this fashion satire website garnered so many instant comments from people more than willing to hate along with them and take it way too far, turning criticism into full-on bashing.
