I'm struggling to understand why people are okay with one, but not okay with another. If it's only because people are used to the old way because it's the old way, I don't think that's a good enough reason to get so angry about it.

Re: Renee Erickson's Restaurants Will Abolish Tipping

Frank, do you have a source? I think this is indicative of a larger problem with Harvest Moon games (that is clear in this review too). There are always little annoying bugs and a slightly unfinished feel to all the games. While perhaps not enough to keep me from enjoying it, their releases always lack a certain polish that I expect from products I pay money for. Gliltches, poor play balance, typos...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII Box Art That Looks At You (Update: US Box Art)

Not since Final Fantasy "II" on the SNES, with just the logo (albeit with a shiny sword replacing the T in Fantasy) on a red background. The Final Fantasy brand is just diluted beyond saving. It used to be that you heard Final Fantasy and you knew you were going to pick up whatever game it was because you knew it was going to be good. Now, it's just a name to slap onto anything they hope will sell. I don't like MMOs and I'm not going to get this, and yes it annoys me that it is a numbered game. I think I might have lost whatever faith I had left in the Final Fantasy teams. Anyways, what's Level-5 been up to?

Re: Ace Attorney Investigations Announced With English Trailer

I'm looking forward to this as well.

Re: Snap! I don't have a car, so I take public transportation a lot, and these sorts of things are perfect for passing the time on a bus or train. I was completely happy with Picross, but Picross in 3D has added a whole level of fun to the entire thing. One of my favorite things is the animation that accompanies the final product; they're so cute sometimes. And this is also a great way to increase my vocabulary. I now know that a hammerhead shark is "shumokuzame" in Japanese. That will be useful...

Re: This Week In Imports: Picross Idol

If it's not too expensive, I'll probably pick up Rittai Picross. I tend to import a lot of puzzle games, since they never require more Japanese than I know. Plus, I've been looking forward to this since it was announced.

Re: Chipping Blocks In Nintendo’s 3D Picross

I'm excited for this, but I don't know if I should just get the Japanese version when it comes out, or wait for it to come out in English. Final Fantasy is one of Square-Enix's flagship series, a game with an enormous fanbase all over the world, ready and willing to throw cash at them the moment the game is released. I think hyping the product that pays is knowing where one's priorities lie.
