Leave your faith?? There is only ONE faith, I thought? Christ. And, even as a Catholic the object of your FAITH should be in Christ not your religion. The "Church" is HIS PEOPLE, not a place. Listen, that's why it's critical that CATHOLICS devour the Bible. I was Catholic all my life and I was (I won't say deceived -- many would, but distracted by the Catholic beliefs and traditions) In the end, you're either Christian (a follower of Christ) or not. Very simple. Ask an Elder in your church if he considers himself Catholic or Christian. If he says Catholic, run, pick up the Bible and read Romans, 1st / 2nd Peter, Hebrews and James to start. Then, make make a spiritual decision. The Holy Spirit does not lie.

Unfortunately for countless people, you are correct! There are so many caught up in Catholicism (man made religion that decided how to worship and honor God their way) Even baptizing a child, as good as the intention may be, was never mentioned in the Bible. What if the child grows up and denounces Christ, is he/she still "saved" because the Original Sin was washed away? I prefer a baby dedication and leading them to Christ through example.

Nope. And she wouldn't appear anyway, so let's talk the TRUTH! The WORD says, NO ONE comes to the Father but through me *(Jesus). Mother Mary, bless her always...was a human just like us. My Mom is Catholic and raised us that way. It wasn't UNTIL I took time to read and re-read and continue to re-read the Bible countless times that I realized His message was quite different than what I learned in CCD and by going to Church. I now go to a non-denominational church and my beautiful mother thinks I "defected" from our "religion" lol. In fact, she feels the same way as you do. She always told me, don't you think His mother would put in a good word for me if I pray to her? Perhaps it's a girl thing, but 100% wrong nonetheless. God's WORD WAS written, IS written and will NEVER change not one jot or tittle. Nothing can be added or subtracted to it's meaning. Over the years, I've simply deepened my faith and understanding of our Lord far beyond what my mother can understand. Where in the Word does it say to pray to Mother Mary or Saints as intermediaries? Show me the verse and I will concede ;-)

You can pray FOR the saints, but not TO them. Why pray to them when the Lord says come directly to my throne. What benefit would one gain by praying to the Mother Mary or other saints rather than going to the source directly? Well, perhaps Mary might put in a good word for you? My mother actually believes this! There is ONE mediator and the Bible makes this abundantly clear without even a slight chance of misinterpretation. This comes from a former "Catholic" who was never inspired nor encouraged to read the Bible. I believe we ALL should "fearfully" "carefully" and "diligently" mediate on the Word and not guess what one "hears" that may or may not be the truth! Jesus is the TRUTH. Our attention, focus and prayers should be with Him alone.

First habit, spending time with God reading the Bible! Through His Word He gives me strength, hope, courage and "wisdom" to face the day in alignment with His Will. Second habit is stretching and then a total body workout. Eat breakfast, pray with my wife and kids and now, I'm off to work feeling strong, empowered, blessed and happy.
