Imagine for a moment that slavery never happened. No slaves were ever sold out of Africa. Where would black Americans be today? Not here in the best country in the world. Blacks from around the world risk their lives to get here ... then succeed if they do. Racism is human thought. It cannot be effected by legislation. Although created to describe, it exists under different names, not only as an issue of skin color. Rather, skin color is one but not the only line separating ethnic/cultural beliefs resulting in poor behaviors based on immediate satisfaction which limit opportunity. True, there are people of all skin colors below that line and those behaviors exist in all socioeconomic strata.

As a thought exercise, imagine that slavery never occurred. Where would black Americans be today? No matter how they got here, in the richest and most advanced country in the world, with people of all skin colors struggling to get here, as a "group," they have not learned how to take advantage of that citizenship. Those black individuals which did learn how to do that have succeeded.

We witnessed protests and marching in the streets since the 1960's. How has that changed racism? Doing the same failed thing over and over, marching in protest, passing laws, expecting a different outcome ... VisionAndPsychosis_Net

It's the failure of Chicago to understand and act to limit gang activity. Other police jurisdictions have identified gang members then targeted them for criminal activity surveillance unrelated to shootings, then
