Here's what we had in a story in March:

"The Towne Plaza restaurant will occupy the former Mustard's and Stone
House Bread site at 202 E. State St. Business partner Chris Hoffman is a
former executive chef at Riverside Inn in Leland, and he will emphasize
small plate offerings that focus on local meats, cheeses, vegetables
and more."

Glad to know you liked it!

Re: No-Cook Tomato and Artichoke Dip

Sorry, Connie. I can make the comment box (where you enter your comment) longer if you think that would be helpful. But the width of it is limited by the space available in the page design. As I mentioned, we're launching a new design soon and unfortunately (due to template issues beyond my control), the width of the content/comment area will not be as wide as we have now.

If you "like" someone's comment, it means you agree with them. It gives people a way to put in their 2 cents even if they don't want to take the time to comment.

Re: Guns or butter

Hi, Webmaster here. Sorry you don't like the new comments format. It should actually allow for better flow of discussion, as you can reply directly to comments (like I'm doing now), instead of adding another in one long list.

You don't have to "Like" or "Dislike" if you don't want to.

Also, Disqus allows you to receive e-mails when someone replies to your comments, or comments on the blog itself, so you can be sure not to miss any discussion.

As for the cramped format, it is a little skinnier than need-be right now, but I'm working on a new design for the blog pages that will launch soon and the width matches that design. Stay tuned!

If you need more assistance using the comment system, please let me know, I'm happy to explain or help in any way I can.

Re: New Comment System

test

Re: Einstein vs. Dawkins

Ed Note: Thanks for catching the error, it's been changed in the post.

Re: Apologies to Webcam fans

Hi Jack... you're right, I'm very busy!
