I was getting very annoyed with iTricks having to read all the criss garbage and then on top of it, ignorant loyal talk.
But then I found this sarcasm stuff, and my whole outlook has changed.
I am enjoying every minute of this!! Just because it's working!!

I think you meant to say you NEVER heard of me UNTIL I moved.
But that means nothing. You couldn't name 10 other magicians other than the ones every other person could name. criss, david, david, houdini, etc.
So the fact that you don't know who I am means nothing.

I use a turn table too. Afterwards I saw him backstage and I jokenly said...
"oh yeah, I stole your turn table idea." He laughed.

Great podcast. I have to admit that this was the first time I actually got excited over the podcast.
I agree with all that Rudy says, but I do think that youTube is a double edge sword.
On the one hand it is your own TV station.
On the other hand it does allow for people to steal your stuff easier, expose your tricks, and start bad rumors.
Which is why I am still reluctant to put out my original routines.

Oh... that was from our Halloween show. I did gross stuff then. But the balloon/needle routine can be found in a book called '7 by Rick Bronson'. There are several of these books put out by David Acer.

You mean the hedge hog? Yes, it was my idea. As usual I some times try to think of the most outlandish thing. So one day while trying to think of another dangerous object to use in the trick, I just jokenly thought porcupine. I laughed to myself, then thought wait!.. a hedgehog would actually work. Thinking that was very funny I looked into finding one. I am a pet lover and in my research of them, I fell in love. So I would have got one even without the trick.

Nope... I don't put my original routines on video. People will just steal them.
I did do the routine at the last TAOM convention contest and it was huge hit with the audience.
Of course the judges went with the act that was classic magic, like always! (rolls eyes)
But according to the scores, I came in 2nd place.

I also do a routine where I pretend to do the orange tree illusion, but instead the plant from the Little Shop of Horrors grows and starts talking to me.

Since the video, a routine has been created and there is sound.
I don't do it much because of the technical needs.
There has to be a sound system present, and I have to have time to set it all up.
Most of my shows don't allow for that.
But, come spring I am going to add it to the Dead Girl Circus show.

Oh.. and I built the plant, the method, the electronics, et al, all by myself.

Oh.. sorry.. when I started reading 'flying silk' and 'appearing candles' I started laughing and didn't realize I was supposed to guess how it works.
Well... without seeing it... I probably can't guess perfectly.
But you can appear candles really easy...
I will try to keep the exposure to a minimum.
Appearing candles... um.. can be done easily with nesting candles, appearing candles, devils hank, etc, etc.. super easy.
The floating silk can be done many ways too... really depends on your staging.
In the Dead Girl Circus we do a comedy bit where our ghost, who is an ex-circus performer, does the human cannon ball.
So to be able to see her, we give her a hank.
We fire the cannon and the hank goes flying over the heads of the audience.
How is it done?... well.. it's just a joke really so I don't mind exposing it...
It's just a black thread and really really powerful electronic pull.
But for you, you could use any floating hank trick or use Christopher Brent's IT hook up to do it.
So many ways... and not very original.. sorry.
But please don't start an arguement.
You go do your thing, and I will do mine.

I find it really funny that a guy, who calls himself 'magickrow' and doesn't bother to actually identify himself, is telling me what magic is.
Then goes on to describe some candle trick that he does.

Well, I'll play your little game.
I am 37 years old and have been doing magic since the age 8. Do the math.
Magic is what I do for a living. I do all sorts of shows from private to public.
To house parties to cooperate events.
I also perform every month, at the Dallas Hub Theater, with a group called the Dead Girl Circus.

So you want to know my tirck?
Well... I do a smash roulette trick with a live hedgehog.
It's a total joke and all comedy, and it's making fun of these stupid roulette tricks.
So when you come up with something like sticking a live hedgehog in a paper sack, and line it up with other empty sacks, then start smashing, only to show that the hedgehog has vanished, and not some floating candle trick....
then you can tell me about magic, and more importantly... entertainment!!
