I was an exclusive Joomla developer until 2010 when they blew up the backward compatibility of the expensive templates I was buying for the 1.5+ track. When I couldn't use my templates on Joomla 2.x and above that knocked me over to Wordpress as a full CMS vs. just a blog.

The "long tail" is making all of these old models of Christian bookstores and Christian radio stations quickly obsolete. Sure there are the Lifeways and the K-Love's, and they dominate a narrow evangelical population mostly in the South and Midwest. If you want to appear on their shelves or get on their 17 song playlist, you play by their rules. Meanwhile there are tens of millions of believers and seekers want to know more about God's perfect plan for their lives and many can appreciate good writing and art and a song you can sing along to.
There are now a myriad of channels to get your art to the marketplace. Nearly anyone can get a book distributed by Amazon or a song on iTunes. It's the reason why Christian radio program directors get 90 singles a month now vs. less than half that 7-10 years ago. If you want the promotional power of a major book imprint or record label, then some conformity is going to be required.
The Christian subculture has its markers and distinctives, like the Muslim subculture, or the hip-hop subculture, or the surfing subculture. I'm not saying that it's Biblical or theologically orthodox...it just is.

Just called the recycling center to get on the list for April 25th, the next scheduled event. They took my name & no. and said they'd get back to me as the event is "up in the air," and the April 11th event was cancelled. Other dates include:

I voted around 1:20 PM at Emmanuel U. Presbyterian Church on the east side. About three people in front of me so it took 5 min. or so. My number was about 330 which is nearly half of the 700 registered voters in my precinct...and that's with 6 1/2 hours of voting to go.

Dennis, you sure can copy text from a PDF and then paste into Word, the problem is that the formatting will not be retained. I don't post anything but PDF's or image files on the web. That way they stay structured the way I want them.
