I have found, without fail, that the Adobe Acrobat 3D was almost unpalatable for most newer users - in comparison, the SW eDrawings product has gotten much better reception. I am curious to know what the trends are, and how this news might affect that... ...after all, even a great product that gets little use will eventually get the axe?

Re: Deleting In-Context Relationships in Sketches

In order to select the external relations more efficiently, you can sort them in the Display/Delete Relations manager in the drop-down menu, In-context...

Re: SolidWorks Sneaks the #4 Enhancement Request into 2009 SP2.0

This explains a lot.... I accidentally found out about it an hour ago - before I read your post! But I thought I was hallucinating, and kept working anyway.

Re: Laptop or Desktop? What Do You Run SolidWorks On?

My boss talked me into the laptop about a year ago +. I think he liked the idea that I would be able to work from home now and then and to putter around on work when the kids are in bed. I lost the argument completely when the gap between the laptop and desktops for performance and price seemed to have narrowed.

We got a solid platform Dell M90 with 4 GB RAM. I have to say that it does very well, though I know that a person could do a little better for the same money for a desktop - and I now run dual monitors.

The real benni though - I have way more time to learn more SolidWorks stuff on my own.
