Printing photos of homes that the Dispatch deems an "eyesore" is ridiculous and disrespectful. I don't know what's worst, the Dispatch or the coward neighbors who contacted them.

Slowing down to "25 mph" as you pass a stopped car at a well marked crosswalk and hitting a bicyclist IS criminal. The jury should sleep good at night knowing that they made the right decision.

Who picks the products that are sold in the Welcome Center? To be fair there should be a sampling from all the garlic stores in town (there can't be that many). Then there wouldn't be a reason for anyone to complain.

I blame it on poor city planning. They put the majority of new housing in the northwest quadrant and most (if not all) of the large retail on the east side. Since First Street is a mess, the other option to get from point A to point B are these residential streets.

I can't believe this council thinks that it's better for Gilroy to displace homes and businesses so they can run the HSR right in the middle of town. Where exactly will the 6000 space garage be built? Do they think that all these travelers will stop to go antiquing or have a drink in one of our lovely Mexican bars?
If the HSR has to be built, it should be as far away from Gilroy as possible.

I agree, they should've allowed the Patriot Guard to be in the parade. It was a lame excuse that it was a noise issue considering the sirens that the fire trucks were blasting every two minutes. Maybe it's time to get some new blood involved in running the parade.
