Well, many just can't afford to go anyplace else."

So, if they CAN'T afford to go anyplace else, that must mean they GO WITHOUT, in your town (you say there is no Wal-Mart in your town), right?

Must make you feel superior to those millions of people who shop at Wal-Mart and to HELL with those who can't afford to shop elsewhere, let them STARVE, right? Or, does your town also decide WHO should be allowed to LIVE there too? Take a molehill customer service problem and turn it into a web-wide PR mountain."

Don't you mean WalMartWatch? I don't think Wal-Mart is the one who brought up this incident!! Besides, even though you may not want to admit it, Wal-Mart did NOT put the half frog into that bag, and just because it was a Great Value product, doesn't mean that it was packed in Wal-Mart's back room!! And the coupon they gave was a sort of apology, besides, it is usually the person at the 'customer service' desk that says they are sorry, not corporate at ANY company!! How much do you think a company should DO to make up for an error like this? When you had your restaurant, if a customer had a 'fly in their soup', would you have given them FREE meals for a year?

Re: Wal-Mart Truckers To Finally Get Paid?

" In might be interesting to find out what keeps you coming to a website you fundamentally disagree with, where you are not wanted, where you are routinely and roundly "insulted," where few people are willing to admit they agree with the things you say"

First, I DO NOT disagree with this website, it is YOU that disagrees!! This site is here to REFORM Wal-Mart, NOT to see it GONE!! This site is aimed at unionizing Wal-Mart, and you CAN'T unionize a company that DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE!! As far as NOT being wanted, BY WHO, you? You may have forgot, but in one of the threads on this site, I was referred to by WMW, as a 'faithful' poster, while, YOU were not even mentioned, so, guess who is really NOT WANTED here? And, as for the insults, they just roll off my back, because I just consider THE SOURCE!! Lastly, there have been many here who have agreed with me, possibly more than agree with YOU!!

Most people here have noticed that you are nothing more than a 'spoiled child', who thinks that 'personal responsibility' is a WACKO concept, mainly because YOU have never had to be held responsible for ANYTHING, because you always pass your responsibilities off on others!!

I will no longer entertain your childish ramblings, you have said many times you DO NOT want to debate, so, I will accomodate you by never again replying to any of your stupid posts!! At least Ken V. operates at some level of intellegence, you are just plain ignorant!!

Now, you had better take out the garbage or your mommy won't give you your weekly allowance!!

Re: Snakebit: A Trip to Wal-Mart May Cost One Man An Arm And $30,000

"learn loving tolerance for each other"

Screwedby is not interested in tolerance -- He just wants Wal-Mart GONE!!

"constructive dialogue we can achieve some areas of understanding each other"

Screwedby is not constructive dialogue or understanding -- He just wants Wal-Mart GONE!!

"you want everyone to be pro union"

Screwedby is not interested in unions -- He just wants Wal-Mart GONE!!

"Also what is it that you were screwed by Wal-Mart?"

Screwedby is not interested in answering that question -- He just wants Wal-Mart GONE!!

And, Ken & ddrb want Wal-Mart GONE as well!! If Republican policies are at fault, how come it was still ONLY 9.7% in 2001? Can you say, with any certainty, that if Carter had had a second term, this problem wouldn't have escalated sooner?

Did not this, have anything to escalate the situation?

Legislative changes 1992
Although not part of the CRA, in order to achieve similar aims the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992 required Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the two government sponsored enterprises that purchase and securitize mortgages, to devote a percentage of their lending to support affordable housing.[4]

In October 2000, to expand the secondary market for affordable community-based mortgages and to increase liquidity for CRA-eligible loans, Fannie Mae committed to purchase and securitize $2 billion of "MyCommunityMortgage" loans.[46][47] In November 2000 Fannie Mae announced that the Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) would soon require it to dedicate 50% of its business to low- and moderate-income families." It stated that since 1997 Fannie Mae had done nearly $7 billion in CRA business with depository institutions, but its goal was $20 billion.[48] In 2001 Fannie Mae announced that it had acquired $10 billion in specially-targeted Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) loans more than one and a half years ahead of schedule, and announced its goal to finance over $500 billion in CRA business by 2010, about one third of loans anticipated to be financed by Fannie Mae during that period.[49] ~ Wikipedia

"Liberal and Intelligence"

Sounds like an oxymoron to me!!

Re: Guest Book Review: To Serve God and Wal-Mart, by Bethany Moreton

"I was accusing 'Mark' of trying to rewrite Bush history."

Neither Mark or I are trying to rewrite Bush history, in fact there we AGREE with you!! The problem lies in the fact that you attribute Bush's actions as the definition of a Conservative!! You try to paint the whole Conservative population with the BUSH brush!! And, in the process, you try to GLOSS over the misdeeds of the Liberals over the years and cover up the misdeeds of BO, by pointing the finger back at Bush!! Should we now start calling you "Bootstrap Ken"? It amazes me that when I say something, it's bragging, but when you say a similar thing, it's being humble!! In both cases, we are both saying that a person DOESN'T have to stay DOWN, if they are willing to put forth the EFFORT to get ahead in life!! You took 'personal responsibility' for your life when you took a job at GD and then again when you chose to move on to your own enterprises, exactly my point all along!! All I have been saying, is that people need to evaluate their strenghts and then build upon them!! Therefore, if a person chooses to work at Wal-Mart for YEARS, they are NOT exercising their options to the full extent!!

"Once as an hourly employee, and proud member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers union, and once as a subcontractor on a flightline renovation project. My defense lies in the concepts of "Free Enterprise", "Free Choice" and "Free Markets"!! I only talk about Wal-Mart, because as has been noted many times, this is a Wal-Mart SITE!! You talk about 'social implications', but refuse to see the 'social implications' of denying people the right to choose where they prefer to shop!! And, how about the 'social implications' of people who have become 'dependant' on the taxpayers to care for them, have they NO responsibility for their actions? You talk about Costco NOT being perfect, yet you nit-pick at Wal-Mart, as if they SHOULD be perfect!! When something happens at Wal-Mart, it is presented as if that were the only place on the planet where adverse things happen!!

And, if someone posts here putting a 'good' face on Wal-Mart, your group shoots them down in flames as being liars or PR people!! Talk about "black & white", in your world, Wal-Mart is "black" and there is no "white"!!

As for SDV, how do you get that I "flamed" him? I just asked where he was, as your side has done many times in the past about people on our side of the issue!!

On the investor issue, I put my faith in the company BOD, (just like you put your faith in government officials), and if I feel they are acting against my interests, I will SELL off the stock (which is like a vote against the BOD) and move on to another investment!! After all, aren't "social implications" based on what ALL people do? Or, is it just the responsibility of the wealthy to practice 'responsibility', while the poor can do whatever they feel like?

You call ME despicable, while you are against allowing people to decide what they buy and where they buy it!! I promote freedom and you want to deny freedom, who really is being despicable?

But, I guess when your mind is closed and you have your blinders on, what people who disagree with you say, must sound like "twaddle" or as Screwedby says "drivel"!! It's kind of like how children look at what their parents say and can't understand WHY they are saying that!!

Here's an example: When Screwedby said that he had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, holding his nose, into a Wal-Mart store, by his mother or girlfriend, do you actually BELIEVE that that happened? Sounds like a mother having to deal with an stubborn, misbehaving child, doesn't it? And, isn't that "drivel" or "twaddle"?

Re: Al Norman: New York, NY TIAA-CREF Urged To Divest Wal-Mart Stock

Where's SDV now to defend Costco?

"TC invests in some of the worst corporate actors: Coca-Cola, Nike, Wal-Mart, Reynolds American, and Costco (in Mexico)."

Re: Guest Book Review: To Serve God and Wal-Mart, by Bethany Moreton

So, can I take it from your statement, that you were FOR Clinton's impeachment?

Show me where I said, that you said, that adultery was acceptable for anyone!!

From your tone, you sound like a Liberal, therefore, it seems to follow, that you would defend what the Liberals say and do!!

Lastly, I was responding to a post by Ken and you chose to interject your two cents worth, if you want me to 'prove' something, first, you 'prove' everything you have said about me, in the past, that was based on YOUR assumptions!! Aboslute POWER corrupts, learn to live with what your side has created!!

Re: Guest Book Review: To Serve God and Wal-Mart, by Bethany Moreton

"Eight years of his married life"
"Seven years of his married life"

Which was it, eight or seven?

All that aside, Ken just asked me to provide a statement from a Republican that said it was not the sex scandel, but the purjury!!

And, as for affairs, seems you like to defend people like Clinton, but chastise others based on their political affiliation who did the same thing!! In your view, it is okay for Democrats to do something, but wrong for Republicans to do the same thing, right?

BTW: I thought I heard that Marion Berry got arrested again and what about the Democrat icon, Barney Frank? Unfortunately, both sides have HUMANS on them!!

Re: Wal-Mart getting it both ways on health care

"Many of us consider it to be one of life's small blessings that there don't appear to be many people "like you", RDS!"

The problem lies in the fact, that YOU actually believe that most people think like you!! In reality, there are more people who prefer, to take responsibility for their lives, to work and support their families, believe in marriage, care about their country, and would like to live their lives WITHOUT government interference!! But, unfortunately, there are still people like you and that is why, we still have crime, people: on welfare, homeless, and refusing to leave their parents home, high divorce rates, and deadbeat dads!! Also, there are those who want to kill the 'Golden Goose' that pays to support those who have decided to shun their 'personal responsibility'!! In other words, people like YOU, who want to 'bite the hand that feeds them' and then complain about not getting enough freebies!

You look at yourself and pretend that you are the one who knows it all, kind of like that guy who sits in his rental trailer, drinking beer all day, with 8 kids and a 'girlfriend', waiting for his welfare check and thinking about how stupid and clueless all those working people are!! But, I guess even the guy living in a cardboard box, pushing his shopping cart around, somehow thinks he is the 'smart one', because he doesn't have to live in the 'Rat Race'!!

"Are you just plain stupid? Are you willfully obtuse? Politically out-of-touch? Generally clueless as to how others view you?"

Yeah, I'm stupid, that's why I'm in the process of buying another home, and made over $10,000.00 this week!! Obtuse, like a FOX!! I get my political views from C-SPAN, instead of 'The Daily Show', like you!! And, could care less how idiots like YOU view me, because your view is that of a loser!! Lastly, I don't think, getting drunk and frying CD's on the Bar-B-Que grill is 'making a political statement'!!

Hey wait, is that your mamma calling you from upstairs, to take her to that 'nasty' Wal-Mart again? Bet it makes you mad, when she says, "Tommy, as long as you live under my roof, you have to obey my rules"!! After all, weren't you the one who said she was out of touch?

Re: Al Norman: Chicago Alderman Still Hungers For Wal-Jobs

"You'd be better served to get your nose out of that Jr. High civics book, RDS, and see how government really works."

I get my information about how government works (or should I say, doesn't work), by watching them 'In Action' on C-Span!! Wal-Mart's lobbying efforts are no more onerous than those of the union's, AARP, or any other lobbying group!! Everyone, is there to get their piece of the ever increasing government PIE!! But, in the end, nothing passes without the support of Congress and the President!! And, in the STATES, it is up to the Legislature and Governor!! Wal-Mart DOES NOT sign bills into LAW!!

Show me one piece of legislation with Lee Scott's signature on it, signing it into law!!

Re: Guest Book Review: To Serve God and Wal-Mart, by Bethany Moreton

""It's not a question of sex.
