I am a regular over at SitePoint as I like to keep my eye on the market and I was quite surprised that the bamzuku.com site went as high as it did. I didn't think the IP was as valuable as someone else obviously!

Re: Take On Me, With New Lyrics Explaining What’s Going On

Now that makes a LOT more sense :-)

Re: W. - Oliver Stone’s Film About George W. From an outsiders perspective this film could actually give us a bit of a better insight into how this man managed to come to power.

Re: Bloombla: sort of Twitter meets what you’ve done

I can see your point that there isn't much of a business case, but there is a lot of potential and the site can still evolve and grow. I do however like the concept... there is always going to be people wanting to shout from the rooftops "I've passed my driving test" kind of statements.

Re: Delicious Thoughts

I gave up on delicious some time ago... there are much better social sites available for sharing with the family and friends. Yahoo has really thrown their acquisition away because they could have pushed it so much further if they put in the effort that the site deserves.... to me it's just full of spammers trying to get onto the homepage.

Re: Wow, I use a lot of Google Stuff

I think it's impossible nowadays to not be using something which Google is behind. As a web develop mine are primarily applications and services rather than content sites.... in fact I would go as far as to say I only read Matt Cutts blog which is indirectly powered by Google.

Re: Help me escape from Password Hell

I use an open source application called KeePass (www.keepass.info) and find it fantastic for managing all of my accounts. You basically create a password file which is encrypted and opened with a single password, within this you can store unlimited accounts which can easily be organized into groups. It has a cool feature to randomly generate new passwords so you don't even need to think about it. As I say it's open source and completely free from spyware or any of that rubbish and no I am not affiliated with it, just think it's a great tool.

Re: Disqus responds to critics: local comment hosting

Ok, so after reading your post I did indeed decide to give Disqus a try. Registration was quick and simple but after that the whole web site seemed to break down... couldn't update my profile properly, most of the management screens didn't render correctly... a whole host of problems. Hopefully just teething problems with the new roll out!
