As for 'deleting/censoring' comments. The general rule is any attacks on personalities, discriminatory language, advertisments and personally-identifiable information is removed.

Try as we might, not every story makes it to the website. I can tell you that when I am posting content, the stories that have some sort of element (audio, video or a photo), I tend to give those priority.

As an Austinite, I wondered the same thing when first hearing about this. Why pay to entise any company to come here? Was Apple planning to go elsewhere and this money changed their mind? As a stock holder, I hope that is not true. I want Apple to go to where the betts workforce is located, not the deepest pockets.

What this article fails to mention is that the Austin City Council has called a special meeting next week to decide what type of incentive package to give Apple in addition to the T.E.F.

Far too often has we Texan's pockets been picked as the result of the Texas Enterpise Fund; or as I call it 'Pointy Boot's slush fund'.

Joyce, when reading your comment originally, I also took it to mean/imply you thought we were owned by Clear Channel.

Chad, take your own advise. 'The Rush Limbaugh Show' is owned by Premiere Interactive, which is owned by Clear Channel.

Just to clarify, no, I just wouldn't let YOUR call through. In all actuality there were 2 callers on the board waiting to go on the air and voice opinions very similar to your own.

As for your call (and I DO remember your call), it was not the content, but rather it was because you continued to interrupt and speak over me as I was attempting to screen your call. Quite simply, I didn't feel you could have a respectful back and forth conversation with the hosts.

Of course not.

But as the owner, I'd be asking how my property can be taken and destroyed w/o any type of legal process.

48hrs after the incident, the dog was put down. What happens if it turns out the chicken owner used something to entice the dog to enter his yard?

I do not claim to be a Constitutional Scholar, but if I understand it correctly, this law equates my dog as property; same as my stereo, car or a ham sandwich.

Assuming that is true, If I am involved in an accident and it is determined the brake-pads of my car did not operate as intended - the result being a man standing in his front yard is killed, will my car be destroyed the next day? Will there not be a court proceeding to determine fault and liability (both criminally and civily).

You may have only heard part of Jeff's argument.

Assuming the person is a good teacher, why do you care? Straight, Gay, speeder, oil wrestler or stamp collector - If they are good at the job that they are hired for (i.e. teaching your child math, history, etc), what business is it of any of us what they do outside the classroom environment?

If your Son's science teacher is living with her boyfriend, does that matter?

What about your daughter's twice divorced history teacher, would you want her fired?

... A Spanish teacher who is a 15hr+ a week volunteer for the Ron Paul campaign?

... A L.A.R.P. playing Geometry teacher?

... An Asst. Football coach who does amateur boxing?
