It seems like these men could have used the TV for their football game, if they had asked the principal. And not brought the beer.
But having a non-alcoholic policy and enforce it makes the principal some kind of hero. Especially when standing up for his employees.

And to get to topic; I wouldn’t have a paperweight (or pendant) with anyone’s ashes, but if others do, fine with me. But I don’t really need to know that a coworker has their parent’s ashes around either.

It’s not a ”bathroom”, as there usually is no bathtub in ”bathrooms” at workplaces. Where can you take bath? Call it a toilet, or cr@proom if you don’t want be discrete.
On the other hand, it is reasonable that ’Muricans call a room with a toilet and a sink and no bathtub ”the bathroom” as they call handegg ”football”...

Actually, there are hotels with rooms underground. I guess it is to be able to get more rooms within the regulations about building height and such things. It was like an inside cabin on a cruiseferry, but I missed the hum from a low RPM Wärtsilä diesel.

In my part of the world, it is not unusual to have a couple of different petrol stations close to each other. I guess there are reasons, they are somewhere with much traffic, it might be regulations about where you can handle fuel. And most people stick to one (or maybe two) chain because they have a credit card which gives them a little cheaper fuel.
And it is great that the regular has noticed that they take no BS and that makes him/her a regular. Maybe they are not only a Regular, but a Premium?

It is not that you like the smell of Brand 1 petrol/gas better than Brand 2, or prefer the taste of Brand 3 Diesel more than Brand 4, but (at least in my country) you have a credit card from one chain, and get a little cheaper fuel, sometimes campaigns for other stuff and so on. So most people stick to one chain, a few have two differnet cards for fuel and other car related things.

Or whatever... My point is that the difference between the brands is marginal, all engines run well on any brand of fuel. But if you have a card from one chain, which give you some loyalty points (or something), you will buy your fuel from that chain even when you are on the road.

And there were backs which could take film for 250 pictures instead of 36.
Not to mention Hasselblad which is a ”real” ”system” camera, with lens, body, back and viewfinder that you can exchange to fit your needs.
