That was the whole reason trig was to be born in AK as opposed to TX -- to ensure their kids were all-AK.

Yet, the MSM completely overlooked these bombshells.

Re: Obama Should Have Turned It Down

Buchanan said M.C. Patterson is not equipped to run NY State.
I don't think it has to do with his political acumen as much as it does the fact that the Lt. Gov is usually an after-thought and not ready to take over quickly. In normal situations the Lt. Gov has time to recover, put operatives in place from teh state party etc...

However, Patterson didn't get that chance b/c of the huge problems with Spitizer's people (stalking the majority leader of the senate to dig up dirt on him etc.). So, Patterson's transition was really bad. Worse, the economy collapsed in NYC during his governship and Pat didn't seem to make any effort to raise his stature to be beside bloomberg, bush and Obama during the meltdown.

2.) Patterson backed the wrong horse, then appointed his choice of Senator.

Patterson backed Hillary -- so, it's likely the Obama people weren't particularly interested in jumping to go work for Pat. Especially after Patterson strung along Caroline Kennedy and then Embarrassed her -- Caroline would have been a great care-taker Senator for NYC AND would have helped Pat with the Obama admin. Instead he choose Gillibrand thinking that Gillibrand would help him with NY State politics b/c of her family's strength there -- um we see how that is workin out.

3.) Patterson does not have his own machine.
Patterson simply doesn't seem to have his own political machine built. Anyone from NYC with more details ?

Re: Perry on Recession: "We're in one?" -- Political Wire

that was funny-- good stuff.

Re: Who Decides When To Exit?

I'm curious as to the entire purchase -- mint.com relies heavily on yodlee.com's technological back-end.

Re: Paglia: ‘Birthers’ Aren’t Racist, and They Have a Point

Well said, most of her salon columns are absurd mix of ramblings and conjecture. If the "birther's" standards about inconsistencies are to be taken at face value, then it would be almost impossible to prove one's citizenship.

BHO has produced docuemnts that prove his birth and citizenship that are acceptable to the U.S. government for the purposes of citizenship, school, passports, driver's licenses etc.

If the birther's want a new standard for citizenship consistent with the technology we have today that's fine -- essentially a full background check to ensure the documents of birth are accurate.

However, they don't want that, as evidenced by the constant shift in the rational. Additionally, the next step would be to add DNA checks, then they would not believe the DNA b/c there would be some small inconsistency with DNA -- even though statistically there would be a high-level of confidence.

I love the birther issue, it is so ridiculous it gives the kooks a chance to out themselves.

Re: Paglia: ‘Birthers’ Aren’t Racist, and They Have a Point

Paglia's an excellent and interesting writer; however, her "facts" and "logic" are quite lazy.

Re: Evening Open Thread

Lamar Alexendar comment spammer: http://techpresident.com/bl...
