Actually, the U-Phoria line is quite remarkable. I would agree with you on older Behringer equipment, but it seems they've upped their game lately. If the U-Phoria interfaces didn't have the Behringer name on it, I bet most "pros" wouldn't be able to tell the difference from much more expensive equipment. The MIDAS pre's are pretty good and very low noise. I have the 404HD for recording a vocal quartet and I love it (so does the quartet). I just ordered the UMC22 for a simple mic-in to my gaming pc. No real audio work for that one, but the price is amazing (the quality is just icing).

I just took my Razer Tactical on its first business trip. Work Lenovo laptop, Razer Blade, tablet, headphones, batteries, tons of cables, writing materials, food, drink, and several other items fit with no problem. I took this as my carry-on. It was a little big for under the seat but it fit. It obviously went in the overhead much better than any roller bag. I got the bag for half off, but it'd be worth it at full price too!

I only got one because of the sale price. However, now that I've used it (a lot), I like it much more than my wife's iPad2 and my CM7-based Nook Color. I'm sure I'd like a "real" Android tab over the Nook, but that's what I have for comparison.

I like that it is something different from iOS and Android. I like both of those OSes, but it's good to get a new take on how things should be done (for better or worse).

I realize I'm kind of cheap, but I find $300 for earbuds "obscene." I make my living as a musician, and while I don't live in headphones/buds, I do use them quite a bit. I would LOVE the chance to test some obscenely expensive headphones (any hardware mfg's reading?), but I find a nice mid-range set of Sennheisers do the job nicely. Who knows, maybe if I could afford a pair of Ultimate Ears, I'd eat my words, but I don't see the opportunity presenting itself anytime soon.

Having said that, maybe this little device can help me pretend my cheap buds are more than they are. I'd turn up the Vivaldi, close my eyes, and imagine I was sitting on the veranda in my house in the Hamptons. At least until my wife said the pizza guy was here.

So, my wife got a 32g iPad 1 (didn't consult me first). It was right before the price drop and release of the v2. She opened it up and played with it, bought Pages and Numbers...basically, she fell in love with it.

I convinced her to return it and get the v2 when it came out later in the week. She grudgingly did so. Apple gave her the refund on an Apple card (standard for most retailers). New iPad comes out, I stand in line, Apple sells out. Fail.

Now, I'm the sole reason she is without her new toy. Anytime someone mentions the new iPad I get "the look."

Come on BGR, help a brother out. Help save our relationship. Make it so our kids don't have to hide in their rooms. Save me a fortune in chiropractor bills (the couch kills!). Help me not feel guilty when I enjoy using my Honeycombed Nook. Help!

I would love to use this bag for work. My father was a master-craftsman with leather. I miss hanging out in his shop...the whole place smelled like leather. He'd let me do small projects...wallets, belts, etc. His skills and creations were always in demand. Good memories that I would love to relive. I really appreciate top quality leather goods.

It's called a QR code. You can use a QR scanner app on your phone to get specific text or, in this case, a link to the app discussed.
