Can I ask (Im a total beginner) your black outlines that appear in some places, is that ink , charcoal??

Re: How To Print iPhone Photos (And How Big You Can Print Them)

but... please can you tell me why, when I import an original iphone photo into photoshop, it shows up relatively small, and when I look at image size in the settings, it's at only 72dpi but around 43 x 43cm in size. Does it mean we are always printing from a 72dpi? When I zoom in it gets pixellated pretty quickly. This has always confused me.. Do I need to change it to 300dpi? I like to play around with my photos in Photoshop, but I thought I needed them at 300 dpi to get a good quality print. I have a iphone 6s.

Re: DIY: Festive Paper Garland

yeah, I thought you were actually going to tell us how to MAKE them, rather than spending £25 on each one. I think I can work out how to tie them to the banister myself thanks.

Re: How to draw a mandala

also then how do you separate the various areas as fills so you can divide up shapes and colour different colours??

Re: How to draw a mandala

also, with only a 50 pixel shape so small I am finding that a 1 point line (when I am trying to draw in the symbol) is really way too thick, even 0.25 pt line is too big ... what am I doing wrong??

Re: How to draw a mandala

well done with your video and tutorial , just a couple of comments. The music is incredibly annoying, we don't need any.
Just a few words you pronounce wrongly eg "minus" has a long "i" -as in MY-NUS not MIH-ness.
I felt that you sped up after you explained symbol 2 and i didnt understand if I was supposed to draw my mandala on a separate layer. - oh - I can't - I have to draw them in the symbols, right?
Most importantly, when I zoom into the middle (like 4000 %) the points of my segments are not really aligned and look quite a mess... I thought I had rotated really accurately on a central point... should I have zoomed in much further to make sure they were accurate? I didn't know because you didn't emphasize this.
many thanks!

Re: Reader Rehab: A Photographer's Kitchen in London - by Christine Chang Hanway

I am planning for a future kitchen extension in my Victorian house (not sure when I'll ever have the money but hey, maybe the Universe will hear me if I post this, and oblige!) and this is the post I keep returning to. I LOVE the pantry and everything else about it. A good use of space for that awkward side return, I don't mind blocking off that 2nd entry into the back reception.. Looks like in Aby's "Before " photos that this blocking-off had already been done. In London we have these L shaped Victorian layouts which are just not working for us anymore with their "side returns" which are no longer needed. But the problem is how to get light into the back reception and make use of every bit of space in the new wider kitchen. I wonder if you are still reading this Abi, could you tell me the dimensions of your kitchen so I can compare with mine?

Re: Natasha Snelgrove and Steven Barilaro

oh my GOD!!
