I'm getting major Dirge of Cerberus vibes from this. Which isn't necessarily a good thing. You know, far removed from the norm. I read that there are even stealth options.

I honestly don't know what to make of this. It certainly wasn't what I was expecting.

While having Sakaguchi work with them would be interesting. I don't think Square Enix's current practices would mesh well with his. I'm hesitant to say this; but maybe it's for the best.

That said. I really hope he continues to make games. It will be a sad day when one of the legends can't get funding.

Also got me thinking. A Mistwalker and Monolith Soft collaboration? I wonder if that's even possible, and what would come of it. Hmm.

Lightning should have been unlocked as a playable character at the end of the game regardless Hell most of the main cast should have.

But, now they will slowly roll out everyone in due time, and each can be yours. For a fee of course. (Hey, towns aren't cheap!)

Ugh, I hate the faces of the characters in this game. They could have retained the cutesy look while making each face unique. Everything else about the characters are pretty good, except for the copy/paste soulless faces. It just seems lazy and off putting. Each one is interchangeable.

Oh, well. It's probably just me that it bothers.

Man, I was really looking forward to this back then as well. We know the
Gooch can tug at your heart strings. So a game dedicated to this would
have been great. The Cavia mind-screw would have been interesting as
well.

I can't help but feel a little worried about the future of Mistwalker.
While I have loved most of their games, it didn't seem that many
performed to expectations.

Fingers crossed for continued games from them. And of course Success. :)

I, didn't know that about Sakaguchi's mom. The themes in the movie make sense given that.

I feel the same way about the movie, it's a shame they used the FF moniker. I don't think it would be quite as hated if it hadn't. Keep the plot the same, stick some well known characters in, have them riding chocobos, and people would be fine with it.

Also, James Woods makes everything better.
