So furious, in fact, that your handwriting appears to have regressed for the first three lines.

Then, your coping mechanism kicked in, and you went, "You know what? I'm going to out-clever this asshole." When you began to cope, the "cute" writing came back, in the form of non-tailed lower-case "N", and more noticeably with the formation of the lower-case "A".

Finally, you get to the finality of it all, of what you want to say to this jerk, and again you have a primal regression with the last line, "is a bitch."

This is why handwritten letters are so much more personal than a typed, word-processed pile of junk. There's plenty to see between the lines.

Re: Stick a fork in me, I'm done?

Ingrid:

Fanny Burney (an 18th century English novelist) is quoted as saying, "Traveling is the ruin of all happiness! There's no looking at a building here after seeing Italy."

It's hard not to get caught up in the significance of a particular locale, but its grandeur and beauty doesn't mar your accomplishments with insignificance.

I'm unaware of raw numbers, but your album sales have to be in the hundreds of thousands and your ticket sales comparable. How many people have heard your songs on the radio? This wouldn't continue to happen if you didn't have a profound affect on the lives of others. If you were to pass, your mark would still exist--your music lives on.

As an artist, don't consider the history made. Consider the history you're making.

Here's a small point of ponderance:

Without your presence, without the playback of your recorded voice, and without any sound, you exist as the song in peoples' heads. At this very moment, your creation, your art is echoing inside the mind of another human being. Think about that the next time a song gets stuck in your head. You're that person to other people.

You have become the song that's stuck in someone's head.
