Hi there! I'd love to be considered for your next "Hot Mama of the Month" as I feel that I am definitely "Hot Mama" material! LOL! I have 4 natural children and 1 step-son. They are ages 16, 15, 14 and the twins are 9 years old. I am married to a wonderfully supportive husband of 8 years who works his cute little patootie off for all of us and I do my level best to contribute to our little "herd" here as best I can by operating my own Passion Parties business in Greensboro, NC; Passions by Kat, and I also supplement that adventure with my eBay store; Kat's This & That, where I sell brand new lingerie and other little goodies at super prices with great shipping prices and super fast shipping times. I have a very large client base that I have been building for the past 3 years diligently and have made a ton of new friends with both of these businesses.
I am also still working on my Associate’s Degree in Web Technology, that while it is taking me a bit longer than it probably would for the less “involved” student, I am still determined to finish the degree. I also have a diploma in Medical and Office Systems Technology. I build my own web pages for my websites and that takes a fair amount of time as well, but if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself, right? LOL!
My hobbies are gardening and yard landscaping, reading, drawing, painting, web design, crochet, basketball, home improvement projects, welding, carpentry, as well as being the only girl I know that up until a few years ago was still splitting her own firewood Paul Bunyan style with her own hand held “wood destroyer”, and I am almost ashamed to admit it, but I am severely addicted to “Twilight” currently and I am such an avid reader that even between all of the overwhelmingly inundating tasks that I involve myself with daily, I managed to read the entire series in the space of 6 days (shhh…our little secret!); however, still a personal achievement as that was over 2500 pages! No, I didn’t sleep much, but I THOROUGHLY enjoyed every page!
I am a very dedicated wife to my husband as he IS my knight in shining armor and my savior as he saved not only from my “super meanie, abusive, alcoholic” ex-husband; he managed to also put me back together and mold me into a person that is even better now than I ever was before. Because of his support, undying love and dedication, wonderful attitude and warm heart, I have been able to achieve a good number of my personal and professional goals that I would never have even thought possible before he became a part of my life.
One of my proudest personal achievements is losing over 75 pounds that I had gained with my first child and never managed to lose, even after my 8 lb 3 oz and 6 lb 12 oz. twins were born ( that yes, I carried to full term and had to have an induction for!). I am so proud of finally getting the weight off because I know it is better not only for my bodily health, but also my mental health. I am much happier about my personal appearance and take more pride in how I look now than I ever did before.
I am personal counselor not only to my children and my husband, but to all of my family and friends; as well as my “internet buddies” which span all the way to London, England. I am THE go-to person when any one of them has a problem they can’t solve or an issue they need to talk about. AND WHEN THEY DO WHAT I TELL THEM TO, things always work out for them! When they don’t, they ALWAYS say “Why didn’t I listen to you!”, lol! My cousin said that I need to be a life-coach. I suppose that is another hat I can wear at some point in my life, but for now, I am coaching everyone I have time to!
My children are all A/B honor roll students and all actively participate in extra-curricular activities in school including basketball, wrestling, football and the marching band. I am very proud of their achievements and I always make it to every sporting event, school program and other event that they are involved in because I know how important it is to them to look out there and see my smiling and encouraging them along the way!
I recently, (2-1-09), lost my father to cancer and while it has nearly ripped my soul from my body, I have made it through this truly trying time by submerging myself in my work and it has been very good therapy for me to get through my days until the pain dulls to something that is more manageable. I am very like him in the respect that I am constantly busy doing something and I have big dreams and aspirations that I want to achieve; Which brings me to my next goal for this year; to create something in my yard that will pay homage to my father and his love for the outdoors and gardening. It will also serve as a special memorial place for me to be when I feel I need to be close to my dad.

Well, outside of proving that I am an absolute spazz as is the pure nature of a Gemini, I hope that this little bit about me serves as a good example as to why I would like to be considered for your next “Hot Mama of the Month”!
