whilst I love your scion posts I do miss that they're no longer daily.... I understand how difficult this must be but there are loads of us who need a daily fix..... yeah, but trying to follow threads is such a hassle now.... especially on an iPad.... a lot of comments often mean you have to scroll down to the end.... click on additional comments.... often twice. Personally I think he could still do daily posts and maintain in depth studies if he was to allocate separate days to 'non-journalistic' stuff like Captains Orders, Sunday Funnies and Best of Readers Comments and add something like a Forum question of the week.... this would account for four days allowing 3 days for the in-depth stuff and/or an occasional Thursday upstat/downstat. I find it rather daunting to come to an article at 50 comments and then again at 400 comments.... it's a pain trying to find where you were. Just my 2 cents

I would actually disagree - I, for one, suffer from comment fatigue if there are too many comments..... especially some of the really long ones that get posted here. I wish Tony would add a poll widget to one of his sites to see what people would prefer.... it's a pretty simple thing to do.

well, "She became a member of Church of Scientology when she was introduced to it by her chiropractor" ..... funnily enough that's the second time I've seen a scientologist chiropractor 'introducing" someone to scientology....one of the commentators on Gawkers Rathbun story today mentioned their chiropractor really trying to get them to visit and get audited.... hmmm, hard sell chiropractor dude hustling in L.A. , lulz.

I also checked out the Golden Eagle Awards, they're like the Russian Oscars.... one category they DON'T have is "Most promising Actor or Actress", I reckon they thought this would never be checked, lol.... and her name doesn't register on their site at all.

I eventually tracked down the blind item from CDAN about this..... he's the 'secret Hollywood entertainment lawyer' who is pretty much regarded as the No 1 media gossip source and has a pretty much 100% track record when it comes to eventual reveals. Also the 100 or so comments pretty much all nailed it on as being LMP

Today's Blind Items - Escaping Your Church

This once upon a time almost B+ list female singer is now more famous for being famous. Hey, at least it keeps her wealthy. She is also known for being a devout member of this church. She recently left it though after she suffered a nervous breakdown and went on an alcohol binge that would make Arthur proud. She went to rehab and while in rehab began seeing a psychiatrist. Uh oh. She also left her church which is never a good thing. However, if you are wealthier it is easier to avoid them. They knock at her door everyday and dig through her trash, but she just hires more and more security to keep them all away and stays locked inside her house. It is a stand off. Oh, the tales she will be able to tell. But what about her kids? Her other relatives who are also in the church?

My "Waterloo" moment was watching respected BBC journalist John Sweeney's Panorama special back in 2007. Whilst the main thing most people remember was the shout-off with Tommy Davis the thing that really stuck in my craw was footage from someone who had left the 'church' and was using his camera to demonstrate the harassment he was getting... one of their harassment goons shouted out something along the lines of 'what's it feel like to abuse children?".... this was on a public street! Wow, my hackles rose and I would have to say that was the moment that this cult really got my attention for the worse.

Sweeney did a follow up piece in 2010 where he talked to Mike Rinder. I reckon now would be the perfect time to do a second follow up and I think he would make a great interviewee for you Tony. I'll try and track down his contact details and suggest this to him.

Going off on a tangent here I thought I would mention my Tom Cruise meeting...., well it wasn't a meeting as such but he did bump into me (geez, he is so small) in a nightclub called Nells in New York in the mid to late 80's. Now this was just after his massive hit Top Gun, what I found strange looking back retrospectively, was that he was alone, in fact he seemed a slightly forlorn figure all by himself [Prime Target?].

How the hell he turned into the self-confident/deluded loon he is now is quite staggering.

Tony, regarding your normal Sunday Funnies and and your bonus "OT Phenomena" experiences people wrote about in Advance Magazine I think it would be cool if you could possibly post links to high quality scans of some of the loonier ones as they would make great material for Anons, or anyone really, to print out and hand out to people being shilled by the 'Are you depressed' crap they try and lure people with. The beauty of this is that you would actually be giving them copies of LRH's publications so it would be regarded as sacrilege (?) if the scions tried to destroy it.

I wonder how many of them have ever seen high level OT's writing about meeting Indian Chiefs, moving clouds and all that crap.... would be fun to ask them. They couldn't pretend to not know what you're talking about as hey, you see, it's written here......

the guy on the left is obviously a TommyGirl wannabe.... he's going for the MI3 look. every single sign is shopped with the same blur level no matter if the hand holding it is in sharp focus.

what I think is the guy in the green shirt should be tracked down and told that he has become the unwitting poster boy of scientology..... (now that would be a cool court case).

even by normal press cowardice when it comes to reporting the cult this would make for an interesting page filler if they could get the original pic to compare.

a cricket ball is about the same size as a baseball but heavier with a thick ridge running around it. a top fast bowler can throw this thing down in excess of 95mph.... now remember it bounces first so can hit you in the face, ribs, stomach, crutch wherever. Over the years there have been a few deaths by being hit by a cricket ball...... so "gay"?... love to see anyone face a fast bowler with a grudge!

CDAN (crazydaysandnightsDOTnet) had this blind item post today.

The thing about CDAN is he's supposed to be an entertainment lawyer with all the inside stories and he's pretty much bang on 100% of the time (He predicted the Lisa Marie Presley story months before it hit the regular sites). What I find interesting here is how they treat low tier celebs and control their fees and more disturbingly how they act as pimps. Man, if ever a person "blew" then this story would be catastrophic to the cult.

Today's Blind Items - Her Religion

It is surprising to me that this actress still can go out and smile everyday and keep plugging away at her career. She is probably a C+. Movies mainly. Almost exclusively actually. Even though she is a C+ in the acting world, you would probably still recognize the name for sure, although putting a face to it would be a little tougher. At one point she was the lead in a movie. That seems a long time ago. When she got the lead she did so through contacts she made at her church. They made it clear to her that there would be payback. She balked at what their payback was. It turns out that when new recruits come through the door they wanted her to act as their greeter and to show them around. They also wanted her to flirt and if the person had enough money and was a big catch, the flirting should turn into something more. She refused. She then had a year long dry spell acting. Apparently at some point all was forgiven and she started getting roles again. All the roles were set up through contacts of the church. She was on top of the world again and excited that she was acting. Then she started wanting some of the money she had been paid. Turns out that because she had not entertained the men properly before, the church was fining her. They took almost every penny of her salary for four consecutive movies. She had enough for rent and food. That's it. Car? Nope. They came and took her to work and picked her up and took her to church. Quit the church? She can't. Her whole family is in the church. She thinks her friends are in the church too. She was wrong. Have a drink? Smoke some pot? Those friends were sending texts the second she did anything over the line and she was forced to pay fines or work for three days straight or suddenly told she did not get a role. She was given a boyfriend. They did not have sex but she was told the actorneeded a girlfriend to stop rumors about his sexuality so she complied. Out in public and in interviews she said he was her boyfriend. They went to premieres and parties and were the happy couple. At the end of the night he went home and so did she after she gave a report. 24 hours a day they are in her life. Several times she has wanted to walk away, but she loves acting. She keeps putting on that smile and pretending her life is great but she hates every second.

The general consensus is that this is Erika Christensen with other names being mentioned Marissa Ribisi and Juliet Lewis.

everyone pretty much agrees that you need to get active scientologists to start looking at what the internet says about them to start the ball rolling.... given the amount of phone numbers and emails given out on these flyers I started to think what kind of thing you could say that would guarantee a search, well I think I have it:

"Have you heard about the Tom Cruise/David Miscavige sex tape?"..... surely even the most blinkered Ronbot would be tempted to look that up in google.... if you actually do put it into google you get Tony's article: "How Scientology Spied on Tom Cruise - The Village Voice Blogs" - plus hits on scientology torture etc .... if someone was to actually phone some of these numbers and record the conversation and put it on youtube then who would I be to complain.

what's going to be hilarious is how the chat show hosts are going to have to deal with the elephant in the room when the actors go on the regular PR promo circuit..... Conan, I imagine is going to have fun with this one.
